They went away camping/offroading for 3 days with some of the other Dads & kids. On their way home today the stupid car went mental! Gah I hate that car. It's too smart for its own good. The computer system went haywire and it wouldn't drive out of low gear.
They are waiting for a tow. They are out in the bush somewhere. I'm sympathetic but it's a bit funny all the same. :-#
Glad they're not in any danger so I'm free to agree that I think it's a bit funny too. Would they be likely to agree or need some time/distance from the situation to see the humor?

Oh man, that sucks! But is also funny. I'd also like to say one day, with a straight face, "my husband is stuck in the bush," but I don't know if I will ever be able to. I'm laughing thinking of myself saying it. Gah, I'm so American lol

That's a good point Cream - gawd we say such awful things here! I should have said, he is stuck in "the outback"

Noooo, don't change, EVER! Do you know how excited I get when you say something Australian? It makes me feel like it's my birthday. It's the best! I love regional quirks. It's such an awesome concept to me that the same language has so many different expressions.
This happened to me and some sorority sisters when we went on a retreat in the boondocks in Tennessee. Awful then, hilarious now. Glad they were able to get reception.
