Sorry to hear about the allergies. Sounds like a good weekend though.
Saturday we had a friend's au pair over for a trial run watching DD. It went great, and we've scheduled a couple of nights for her to come over. We got some stuff done around the house, and dodged a bullet by finding an easy fix to our broken furnace. I had 3 glasses of wine for dinner, which was a BAD idea.
Sunday was kind of a lazy morning. In the afternoon I took DD to a local farm while DH rearranged the basement after the furnace debacle. Had Chinese takeout for dinner and started packing for our trip this week
Saturday I had to work but it wasn't so bad. I did get to see Nelly and relive my freshman year of college lol And I made some new friends at work. Then H talked me into going to a late showing of Oblivian at the IMAX.
Sunday I did some grocery shopping and then parked it in front of the tv and caught up on all of my shows I missed the past week from working. It was glorious!

My weekend was fine. I basically worked all day on Saturday and then lazed about on Sunday. I am exhausted today from staying up to watch GoT and Mad Men.
GoT is annoying me to no end at this point. It's not that I don't love the show - I do - but I have read all of the books and I am just so far, far beyond this point in the story. I know who is going to die and when and it takes the suspense out of the show. I had a bunch of friends who said that their minds were blown by the situation with Jamie Lannister two episodes ago (or was it three?) and I am just like meh. Of course that was coming.
I had a good weekend, we went to my family's house on the thimble islands and had a memorial service for my grandfather. Yesterday on the way home we also went outlet shopping and had lunch in Mystic. I was able to get some great deals at the outlets and got some cute stuff for my weekend trip to VA to see a friend over Memorial Day.
Today work stinks, they are sending me to an event in western NY in two weeks and I have zero interest.

That's pretty hilarious! I didn't realize he still did anything.
Are you loving GoT as much as I am this season? The last few episodes have been amazing!
He's got a new song out on the radio "Hey Porshe" and is apparently getting ready to release a new album soon. Most of his set was old school Country Grammar stuff which is fine by me since that's how I knew him
GoT is great! I love watching with my H to see his reactions. I've read all of the books so I know generally what is going to happen but it's all new and shocking to him. I don't mind know all the spoilers though, the show keeps me interested and I like seeing how they play out the book plotlines with the actual show. It has been awhile since I've read the books too so some things I've forgotten until I see them in the show.

Dave and C went to a kids symphony thing on saturday. L and I ran a couple of errands, like getting my watch batter replaced after many months of it being dead, and then ran around the Mother Church. He loved that. We finally ordered L's birthday cake and sent out an evite. Sunday we continued cleaning. We cut the pay channels a while ago and I feel left out with all the GoT stuff However, I'm so far behind on popular tv it doesn't really matter. I'm currently watching the West Wing on netflix while I do laundry. Good times.

DH and I are watching West Wing too. We are on season 3 and loving it .
We had a fun weekend. Saturday was town yard sale day, and I got some really cute, cheap stuff for the baby's room (curtains, lamp, rocking bug that DS2 thinks is for him) after having all the rooms upstairs painted last week. The boys and I went on a hike in the woods behind our house with my MIL on Sunday, and we went out for ice cream last night.
ETA: The painter we used was amazing and really cheap, so if anyone is looking, he lives in Malden (I think) but will travel out to the burbs...we are out by 495.

Not very exciting. I worked Saturday and Sunday and spent most of my free time doing homework. Lilac was kind enough to have me over for dinner on Saturday night, which was really enjoyable. We experimented with butternut squash on her grill and it turned out quite well! I can't wait until next week when I can spend even more time with friends and less time studying.
It feels strange to finally be back in the real world.
Saturday - we flew home. We were delayed about an hour with mechanical issues so had a tight connection in Charlotte to do immigration, customs and then security again but we made our flight to Boston. Saturday night we just ordered a pizza and went to bed.
Sunday - I went to Zumba in the morning and to the grocery store.
I haven't started to laundry unpacking process yet :/

Could you give me more info on this? If you're comfortable sharing the ballpark cost, that would be awesome. I was just thinking that I'd like to paint our master bath but then got realistic that I'll never find the time to do it and painting around all the stuff in there would be a huge PITA (so much cutting in). I'd also like to do our study if DH will let me now that he doesn't work from home.
Rock - Today is my first day back, but DH had to go in yesterday as they fired his sous chef while we were away.
Well that sounds like a lot to come back to! Out of curiosity, who has the authority to fire the sous chef besides your DH?
GM and Managing Partner of the Restaurant group, basically DH's bosses.
They think the guy was stealing product in addition to coming in 3 hours late each day and talking shit about DH and the restaurant, so DH fully supported their decision.
However, I'm so far behind on popular tv it doesn't really matter. I'm currently watching the West Wing on netflix while I do laundry. Good times.
I still love that show so much. Even the not-so-good years. I can't get H to watch it though. I tried to make him watch Sports Night, and he hated it so much that I thought we were going to have to break up.
I was on vacation all last week, so everything is a blur. We went to the Cape for a couple of days, but it was early in the week and the weather sucked. We ended up sitting around and watching Netflix for two days, but all stuff we'd already seen. We also took a ride up to Kittery on Friday - had lunch at When Pigs Fly (that pizzeria is so effing delicious), and did some shopping. I scored a couple of cute tops and a dress at the BR outlet, but that was about it. And I don't remember anything else we did, aside from dinner at Cambridge Common on Saturday.
