It has been eternities since I have had to use it, and I'm giving a presentation today, to like, a lot of important people. Time to pretend I'm smart enough for this lawyering gig!
Anyway, all I'm trying to do is set it up so each bullet point on my slides does not appear until I click the mouse. Do I do that in the Animation screen? If yes, how? Right now, it is showing me that it will do the title of the slide, then the rest of the slide all together, and I don't know how to break it up further.

Depending on what version of powerpoint you are using, there should be an "animation pane", located under the animation tab on the top of the program. Click on the text box you want to animate, then select what you want it to do (appear, disappear, etc). The animation pane helps you see what order they will animate in. Hope that helps!
just do regular bullets or numerous slides each with one, minimal idea. animations are distracting and you don't have time to rehearse so that it will come out smoothly.

No, Cville. Everything is done EXCEPT for the animations. The entire presentation is written. I'm stupid, not crazy :-)

Ok, upon review, I'm going to do this sans animation. Everything is written, I am finalizing my own notes for the presentation, then will rehearse it a few times. I don't have to do this until this afternoon, so I am in pretty good shape, time wise. Thanks y'all!
One tip for PPT - if you want people focusing on what you're saying rather than reading your screen at any point, you can cllick the "B" or the "W" key on your keyboard (assuming you're in presentation mode).
If you click the "W" button, your screen will just go white while you talk until you hit the "W" button again. That way they're actually listening to you. Hitting the "W" button will make your slide display again.
"B" will do the same thing except the screen will go black until you hit "B" again rather than white.
