I was watching some random show just now, while I was nursing Zoe down for a nap and they were making a farro, pomegranate, and arugula salad. The chef they had on the show was saying it's a great fresh salad for this season, because pomegranate is in season. I thought for a minute that they were airing an old episode, but then they did a segment on spring/summer styles. I had to google it because, my entire life, pomegranate has been a fall food. Yeah, pomegranate is in season if you live in the Southern Hemisphere, buddy, which defeats the purpose of eating seasonal foods here, ya know, in the Northern Hemisphere...
Does is count as "in season" if it has to be shipped from a different hemisphere?
