I need to know if I'm in the clear or if I should re-test. We aren't trying, so I have no idea on what I should even be looking for with regards to dates and crap.
My period shouldn't start for another 5-6 days, but I had some spotting on Friday with some bad cramping, but no full period came. My boobs have been so effing tender, too. I mean, do not touch and wear a bra at all times tender. I have a pretty regular cycle (usually starts between the 6-8th of the month) so I tested last night just in case with a negative stick. I have a whole weekend of drinking planned, guys. I really hope I can just be ok with this negative and drink on. Am I clear or should I try to re-test Friday?

It's probably a little early for a test to be accurate, but everyone says that if you're pregnant enough to have symptoms, you're pregnant enough to get a positive test. My PMS symptoms have changed dramatically over the last year, and weird spotting and boob issues have increased. (I think this is just to fuck with me while I'm TTC.)
Either way, there's no shared bloodstream right away. I say drink.
ETA: Sorry, I know the bloodstream thing is a misrepresentation, I'm just talking about the whole "nutrients and other stuff passing through the placenta" business.
If you're still that far out from your period, it will probably only be positive first thing in the morning - and maybe not even then, for a few more days.
If it helps, I got blackout drunk a few days before finding out I was pregnant with my first, and he's fine. I say test each morning (dollar store has cheapie pg tests that always worked perfectly for me) and drink away!

Guess I'll buy a test on Thursday on my way home if no period shows up
If its positive, we are going to have a really hard time hiding this considering Saturday is one of biggest drinking days of the year in our group. And there's an open bar. I won't be upset either way, so I'll just wait around since there's not much I can do about it.
I would test again on Friday just to be safe. Obviously test AGAIN next week if your period is late. If your spotting/cramping on Friday was implantation, then they say the stick should be positive about a week after. It would be detected in your blood about 3-4 days after implantation.

Wait until you are late to test.
But, by the way, I want to respectfully disagree with anyone that says if you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough for a BFP. Both of my pregnancies, I had very specific and highly unusual (for me, not overall) symptoms - for my first, I disregarded them because I'd always heard people say this on the internets. My second, I tested for about four days in a row because I knew better - I had had the same symptoms for a few days before I started testing. Negative one day, positive the next.
In short, you know your body, tests are only a buck, so while **I** would wait until I'm late, do what makes you comfortable. Good luck (and have fun this weekend)!
