fuddyduddy suggested I post on here. I'm moving to Boston this summer. I went to law school in the area and spent three years in Boston and can't wait to move back. Right now I'm looking for apartments in Back Bay. I'm a 28 year old single lawyer. I love country music, running, and drinking craft beer.
Admittedly, I haven't lurked and don't know if you do intros over here but just thought I'd introduce myself. So, hi
I live in NJ now and do pharmaceutical consulting (legal regulatory and compliance). Fuddyduddy posted on another board I frequent. She jumped in to tell me to post on here and I figured anyone who was that nice came from an awesome board!
Welcome! I just recently moved back after a post college hiatus as well and it's good to be back! Are you going to be working in the same field when you move?

Yay, I couldn't stay away either! Hopefully I will be. I currently work for a pharmaceutical consulting firm that's family owned so I will continue to work remotely and come to NJ for meetings until I secure new employment. I'm looking at law firms and companies, including some of our clients. I will likely continue to work part time for the family business remotely if I have time.

That is great that you can work remotely! I just checked out your blog, love it!

Aw, thanks! You post on S&B sometimes right? I do too! I think I remember your siggy from there!
Welcome! I'm jealous of your move - I would love to spend a few years living in the Back Bay.
Thanks for the welcome! My shoebox is your shoebox. I'd be happy to host people if there's a gtg filled with booze downtown. Said in the least creepy way possible

I like booze...and shoeboxes . H and I have seriously discussed moving to the Back Bay for at least a couple years. I grew up in Boston and he was actually planning to move there when we met. I like to joke tht I ruined his chance at city life.

Do it! I LOVE Back Bay. Love it! It's all just "there" and so nice and not as hilly as Beacon Hill. Ah, can't wait!
We will...just not sure when. I went to B.U. for a while and loved the area. Having grown up near B.C., living so close to the Back Bay on my own was some of the best experience of my life. Wuld love to do that again, especially as a grown up with actual disposable income!

Welcome! I also went to college in the area (just outside of Boston), and moved back several years later. I missed it so much when I was back in western MA, so I jumped at the opportunity when it presented itself.
Hello! I love all the new people coming on I'm 30, married, living in woburn. Not nearly as chic as the back bay area But I'm always game to venture out of the burbs and hit the big city
Hello! Welcome aboard! I'm in the suburbs too, but we've been pretty good with arranging get togethers. I'll gladly venture into the city. I went to NU and I loved living in Back Bay! But we're suburbanites now (H and I), I get twitchy when I can't find parking.
ETA: ha, I totally did the married "we" thing. I need to stop doing that!
Thanks for the welcome ladies! I'm currently having my friends go look at apartments for me because the market for renting in July sucks. This whole moving thing is so stressful but I'm so happy to be coming back!

So exciting! Country music (Toby Keith's is just outside the city! There's also "Country" nights all over the city) and drinks - I suspect we will have some fun when you get here. And the skiing!
Yes! Omg yes! I already saw the Johnny bar that has country night. Can't wait!
