I went to the doctor for a few little nagging things today. I asked my endo if I could get my TSH tested because it's been over a year. Last time I was tested I had 1.??, which was where he wanted it, now it's at 4.7. I know it's a simple medication adjustment, but seriously, I have been dealing with thyroid issues for almost 6 years. Started with hyper, got RAI, now hypo. And of course my mind goes immediately to something more than hypo might be wrong with me. When I first found out I had hyper, I neededto get tested for thyroid cancer, which was super scary. So, of course that is where my mind goes.
I'm sorry that your levels are wonky. That has to be frustrating especially since it's something you regulate with medication.
In the light of this new evidence that your TSH is swinging pretty wildly, have you had the conversation with your doctor about being tested more regularly if you feel "off"?
I haven't heard from him yet, I'm assuming it will be a few days. But yeah, I used to go every month, the three months, then 6, not I'm at a year. I'm kind of thinking that every six months wouldn't hurt
