MIGHT. Needs confirmation. I'm making a powerpoint presentation on using graphic novels in the classroom. It makes sense to use Comic Sans to write the word "Graphic Novels" on the intro page, right??? Omg, ML. You've made me twitchy about the weirdest shit.
But it's to actually write the word comic book!!! (more or less) C'mon. It's good. It's for a teaching endorsement, but it needs to look jazzy, yo (so, grad/post-grad) I can't use sound effects because I have to narrate it. IT'S APT!
OK. BUT. It's the font that is meant to look like a fucking comic book! How could it not be appropriate when you are giving a presentation about comic books? Really, now.
Ok. I just read an entire graphic novel in Comic Sans. SO THERE. Nevertheless, @amoosed, I like yours better, so if I can figure out how to make that go in my pp instead, I will relent.
Ok, graphic novels are also comics, people. But fine. FINE! I will try to download one of these other ones. I have no fucking clue how to make a downloaded font jump into my toolbox, though. The funny thing here is that I totally posted this knowing it would go this way, and I'm still cranky about it.
And no, especially if it's grad/post-grad age. They'll think you don't know what you're talking about. Comic sans is a joke, nowadays. People that use it are automatically not taken seriously. Trust me.
I don't ever "This." But THIS is exactly what I was thinking, word for word. Comic Sans would be the very worst font to use.
OMG. The very worst? In a presentation about graphic novels? I refuse to believe this is true. I think most people would understand the reference. But whatever.
Copy the downloaded font file and paste it into the Word (or whatever program you're using) font folder. I think. It's been a long time since I've done this.

I would understand the reference but I'd still cringe. It is always the worst font to use.

No, trust me, they wouldn't. Not even hipsters have tried to revive the comic sans bandwagon in an effort to be first.
Comic sans has become synonymous with 90 year old grandmas trying to "spruce" up their AOL email accounts. Not saying that's you. It's just.. well.. It's like having an AOL email account. A big ol' joke. It's just something that you don't do.

Although this is genius. Where is the Jeff Koons of Comic Sans???

My horrible, grouchy, old and cranky 7th grade grammar teacher typed EVERY SINGLE handout and test in Comic Sans, so I can never see it without thinking of her and that brings back all sorts of bad memories.
And? Graphic novels are not comic books. Just, FYI.
Also? Don't talk down to me. This post was all in good fun but you're ruffling my feathers now. I teach graphic novels. I'm not stupid. It's semantics. And some of them are.
