I'm a lurker on the board and hardly ever get on anymore since I've gotten busy at work. But I was hoping you ladies would be able to help me.
I've been road biking for about a year now, although throughout the winter, I've been really slacking.
I absolutely love it, except for one thing....Every time I get out of my pedals, I hit my calf on my chain/sprocket. The chain lube is the hardest thing ever to get off! Other than scrubbing for a week...any ideas how to get it off? I rode on Sunday and have taken 3 showers since and while its better than it was, its still there. Ugh
If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they make a soap called "Savon de France Oatmeal Exfoliant" (it's a bar soap). It has aatmeal bits in it that will exfoliate you. I use that, and it takes the grease off with no problem.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does this! My FI gives me crap all the time for it. I'm excited to try these (or just one for now) AFTER I ride tonight haha.

Girl, please. I got chain grease on me before I even left the house this morning for my ride.
Another way to minimize leg grease? Teach yourself to stop/stand with the other leg. I now always stop at red lights with my left leg down, keeping my right leg in, and it keeps my leg significantly cleaner. When I do get some grease on me (it's inevitable) I usually just take use my loofah with hair shampoo to get me clean.
