This may be a silly question, but what did you wear on your feet during labor and afterwards in the hospital? Socks? Slippers? Flip flops? Something else? Going barefoot (even in my own hospital room) skeeves me out a bit, but I don't know if it looks dumb to be wearing one of the other footwear choices, either.
You tend to "look dumb" in hospital gear anyway. Wear whatever you want. I don't remember... I probably had socks as my recovery room was freezing cold. Delivery, I'm pretty sure I was naked.

I wore slipper socks from Old Navy, they have non slip grips on the bottom. I wear these around the house in the winter all the time so I packed a few older pairs just in cased they got ruined. (they didn't)
I was freezing because I had lost so much blood and was exhausted after 24 hours of labor. I had rubber soled slipper-boots and was SO thankful for them even though it was 80 degrees outside. I even wore them home

I had a scheduled csection and they out docks on me for surgery. I wore flip flops the rest of the time. It was nice having them for the bathroom shower and something easy to slip on
I wore flip-flops to the hospital. Then my nurse put anti-skid hospital socks on me while in bed. I wore those for most of my stay. Then when it was time to go home my feet were so swollen I couldn't even get my flip flops on. Since I had nothing else to wear home I shoved my poor feet into those flip flops until we got to the car and I took them off. So, this time I'll be sure to bring something that I can be sure to wear home if I'm that swollen again.
