Day trip to P-Town! I've always driven (which SUCKSSSSSSSS going down 2 lane route 6 for hourssssssssss until you make it to the Lower/Outer Cape (which I prefer to the madness of the Upper/Mid Cape)) so I think I want to try to take the ferry to P-Town-I know they serve food, drinks, blah blah. You can go for a full day and get a round trip ticket. Obviously those in other regions may find it easier to drive or whatnot. Once you dock off the ferry you're in the middle of everything in P-Town-lot's of shops, places to eat, things to do, beaches...we could even do a whale watch!
hahahaha. Any interest? I think this would be so much fun-and if you have never been to P-Town-you NEED to go.
I would probably rather pay $80 than do that drive...unless we are meeting on a Thursday morning LOL
The drive is brutal.
I agree we'd have to make it during the week if possible OR off-season. We went in September and it was still really fun. Plus then you get the townies!
River-I would love that. Lol-my friends and I rented a house in Wellfleet for a week in September and it was awesome. The summer ater H and I got married we extended our honeymoon by renting a cottage in North Truro for a week in August-It was fantastic.
I nosily read this post and then DH just texted me about a trip up north. I have to go to the Vineyard most likely one weekend in June to help DH deal with some stuff with his 90yo grandma with dementia. It is only a short ferry ride from Woods Hole if you guys want to change your destination and save me from massive unpleasantness where I cannot even drink lol.
I love p town! I would be down, but a day trip won't work for me. I'm far enough into metro west that it would have to be a drive, and that's too long for a day trip.
But it would be a fab destination for a weekend gtg.

OOhh, I might be in. Depending on when and how much it would end up costing. We're buying a house yo and on a spending freeze for non essential stuff, sort of.

That's too far for me to do in a day I think, since even Boston is an hour and a half for me. If you guys decide to do an overnight I'll think about it, but don't plan around me.
