I used my first pair of LLL Turbo Run shorts running this morning and I am in love!
I went to Macy's yesterday and tried on a new pair of Nike Tempo shorts (I already own a few), and I just didn't like the way they made my butt look. I felt like the material "poofed" out and I have never liked the ruching/elastic waistband. Since I do have a booty, my t-shirts covering my butt seem to look all poofed out and never sat right on my Tempo shorts.
I wore my LLL this morning, and I am in love! I love the waistband (no ruching)- it is so comfortable and it lays flat! Thus, my t-shirt over my butt area lays flat, and the shorts definitely made my butt look better than the Tempo shorts. I know, I know, it is for running, but I feel better when I look better- even if it is running, KWIM?
I also love the interior underwear layer on the LLL shorts, and overall, the LLL shorts look and FEEL better than my Tempo shorts. Damn, I am going to need to buy more of these shorts.

I still have Nike tempo shorts from college..so I've been running in them for a long time.
I also have LuLu shorts. I enjoy both pairs and haven't really ever noticed the poufing issue but I have heard the complaint from other people.
I've always liked the material of the Nike's because when you sweat it actually dries really quickly. Ever run through a sprinkler in the Tempos? They don't weigh you down and dry off in a few moments. BOTH shorts have the lining in them.
I have a ton of goLite brand shorts and I think they work great but you have to live in a specific place to get them and really get the deal that makes them worth it.
For me personally I also like the Lulu shorts maybe a little more..I enjoy it when they come up in my rotation. That being said I think that Lulu stuff is way over priced for what it is: Workout clothes.
$54 a pop for a pair of shorts? You can get the Nike tempo shorts at an out let for HALF that much...
Not knocking your choices at all. It's all about determining what is most important and what you value in your wardrobe as well as what your budget is. If having your ass look good is most important and it's in your budget..more power to ya! ;D

I love my LLL running shorts! They are the best. They are very comfortable for running and cute. I tried on some tempo shorts and they looked like diapers on me and were not comfortable. I couldn't imagine running in them. But I do think they look cute on other girls. I'd much rather spend $40 on lulu shorts and just wash them more often (I have always gotten them on sale for $39 when they discontinue colors).
I am thisclose in ordering a third pair of the turbo shorts. A couple of weeks ago I went to the Nike outlet to get the Nike plus band. They had the Tempo shorts on sale, 2 for $40 so I got them. Came home tried them on and my ass grew two sizes. They were so frumpy on me I have them in the bag now ready to return.
I love the turbo shorts and will rather spend more for the fit than keep something that I know I'll never wear.

Exactly this!
Jenn- Totally- I felt like I was not only wearing a diaper, but my ass grew too. I was like WTF? I too would rather pay $54 to look and feel good than buying a cheaper pair of shorts that don't look good/feel as good on me. UGH, LLL, why do you take so much of my money? Too bad I never see the Turbo Run shorts on sale
