Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with this chain? There is one near my house and budget wise they would work out well for me, especially since I'd only be able to go a few times a week due to DS' current schedule. Just wanted to see if anyone had opinions, especially before I go in to talk to them.
H had a membership for a while and liked it, the facilities were new-ish and updated. I didn't like that you have to sign a contract and pay a yearly fee though.
I used to belong to one. It was very well-kept. I stopped because it didn't fit my needs anymore (I wanted to get into taking classes - they don't have any), and there was no childcare, which really limited when I could go.
Mine is fantastic, and I regularly visit 3 others that are equally new/ well kept/ excellent. There are 2 others in our area that suck, though.
So really it's 100% dependent on the specific club and your area, but I've belonged to PF for 3 years now and have never had a bad experience, I absolutely love my gym!
Although I own my own Spinning studio, I just joined yesterday! I bought the package that was $199 for 18 months. No fees is what lured me to that package.

The one near me is gross. The AC was always leaking, so there were buckets everywhere to catch the drips. It stank...just mildewy and icky. The bathrooms were gross, the machines were always out of order...I quit that place, started CrossFit, and made my own garage gym. Smells better for sure
I've been going to mine for about a year and LOVE it. Super clean, friendly staff, the works. I didn't have to sign a contract and it is only $10 a month. The folks who own the franchises in our area are really great peopl so I do think it depends on who they have managing each location.
