The friend said Jodi is confident that it will be a hung jury.
I hope it's not a lesser charge. I think JM made a really strong case about the gas cans and the same calliber gun being stolen just days before from her Grandparents house.
I was sure Casey Anthony would have been found guilty too.
I have the feed up now and will be watching. Hopefully, it wraps up before I leave work at 5:00.
I think JM did a great job proving Jodi premeditated the murder and I hope he reiterates his proof during closing arguments. From the juror questions, I got the feeling they weren't buying the defense's story, but I could be wrong.
I followed the Casey Anthony trial pretty closely and was surprised at the not guilty verdict. I think a lot of that surprise was due to my emotional investment, though. That story was local for me, so I heard about it all of the time and had no doubt that Casey killed Caylee.

The jury decides the sentencing but I'm not sure that happens since normally (at least I think?) Travis family is allowed to read a victim impact statement and Jodi and her family are allowed to have character witnesses as well. That's how it works in MI. I wonder if AZ does it differently.
Martinez has really good points but I wish he'd tone down the sarcasm. I don't think that's going to do the prosecution any favors.
I agree with this. And I wish he would have been a lot more professional and less bullyish (for a lack of better word) towards the defense witnesses. It just came across as silly to me and blurred the points he was making.
I really hope this jury is smart enough to find Jodi guilty.
Wow, Martinez is taking forever explaining how to determine premeditated murder or not, heat of passion crime or not. He reallllyyy doesn't want a Casey Anthony verdict situation. Very interesting he specifically says you do not need to eliminate ALL doubt to find her guilty felony murder.
I noticed that too. He definitely doesn't want these jurors to misunderstand what "beyond a reasonable doubt" means.

The siblings of Travis look completely exhausted. I feel so awful for them. He was in pain for minutes probably. This has been years for them. I can't even imagine.
