if you had to go to BFE Kentucky - which airport?

I'm going to Monticello... which is in the middle of both... but I need to stay at one or the other.

the cheapest ticket wins my vote. Knoxville is a small airport.

Lex is a really small airport. 6 of 1, half a dozen of another.

Sorry for the edit, I thought the choices were Lexington or Louisville and I thought you were crazy.  I live in Lexington, and think it would be easier to fly into Lexington.  Straight interstate for most of it, and from Knoxville you will have to go through the mountains.  

I can help with hotels, directions if you fly into LEX.  It's a small airport, very easy to get around.

knoxville is cheaper. It's for work, but I still don't get to waste money just because I don't want to go to certain airport. ha!

Looking at the map, I think Lexington will be a much easier drive. But from Knoxville it will be a prettier drive, but over the mountains and a lot of it on a twisty road.

I really like Konxville. It has a super cute downtown square. That is all I can bring to the discussion.

Oh- and even if the flight is cheaper, if it is UT graduation weekend hotels will be through the roof.

UK graduation is this weekend, so no interference on the Lex side.

I've been to Lexington but not Knoxville. Lexington is super tiny, so it's pretty easy to maneuver. I'd go with the cheapest/easiest access to where you're headed (road-wise, access to close interstate, etc. if you're driving).
