sort a column alphabetically in excel? Well, I mean, I know how to do that, but can you sort one column and have the column next to it also change so that the info lines up the way it was? For example, say column A is a name and B is a phone number and if you alphabetize A, have the right phone number in B stay with the coordinating name from A?
What version of excel do you have? You highlight the column that you want to alphabetize then on the Home tab there should be a sort and filter button with a AZ on it. Press that and it will come up and ask you if you want to Expand the Selection and that's the one you want. That way it will alphabetize everything. That's with Word 2010 btw.
