The last 2 weeks I have a pain on the lower right side of my back. It started the day after my first run in months, though I don't know if it has anything to do with that.
If I move/walk around it doesn't hurt too bad but if I sit stationary for too long it hurts. It also is very painful to bend over and to pick things up.
I haven't been to a doctor (except my obgyn) since reaching adulthood, so I am in the process of looking for one now but in the mean time I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas about what could be causing this.

I had the same symptoms and ended up going in to full muscle spasms. They said it was because my muscle was too stretched (? Forgive me. I think this is what they said) on the one side so the other side was over compensating. Or something like that. It made a helluva lot more sense when they said it, lol. Either way, I'd get checked out!
It could be sciatica or your SI joint. Heat/epsom salt soaks are awesome. Maintaining core strength and stretching my hips are the two things that keep mine at bay.
