DH is on his way HOME!!! YES! He should be home in about an hour.. to bad I'm at work.
We are closing on our refinance today (finally) bye-bye 30yr, hello 15yr
This week has been insanity. This morning I forgot to put the brake on in my car, and it started rolling while I was trying to get out. (who knew the parking lot had such a big slope) (it's a manual & i leave it in neutral)
I got my ass out of bed this morning and went to the gym to lift - I always forget how much I love the gym.

I do not like the new guy in our department. He is mid twenties and moved up from the sales team downstairs, which are mostly his age. He keeps saying things like he's being punished and we're old and boring. Just shut up and do your job. My job does not include entertaining you.
I bought 2 Run Pace skirts (LLL) on sale and I love them, but I can't wear them when it's super hot/on long runs because I've not yet found the perfect 'legs still rub together' cure. Body glide is OK, Chamois Butt'r did nothing. I'm happy to hear any suggestions.
I'm really sad I can't wear one on Sunday to race - back to the unflattering compression shorts. Hrumph.

My AW for the day. I think did my interval workout at the worst possible time of the week. 4 x 1 mile. On the track. Probably about 40 degrees, pouring rain and windy. I wasn't even counting the number of laps I had left to run, just the number of times I had to run on the backstretch straight into the wind.
I'm really salty about having to eat at TGIFriday's today. I have a wheat allergy and I'm sensitive to MSG so it's kind of like a giant nightmare for me.

i have no suggestions, but i looked at the skirts yesterday... i have no use for them so i didn't order but dang, they are cute.
i did however order MOAARRRR tank tops.. good lord, LLL, is killing me.
I'm annoyed that my weight is up but that isn't stopping me from indulging in lots of sweets. Ugh - I hate it when I'm in that " I ate bad already, let's keep going and eat more crap" mood.
I read that article on why running is bad for women and I hope none of it is true.
@sessalee body glide AND aquaphor. So much that your legs look wet. It's my jam.
I had a terrible swim this morning. I'm usually just a touch faster than the guy I always share a lane with, and he was beating me in almost every set today. Dammit. I'm having an off week, actually.
DD pushed a baby at childcare last night - I can't believe it. They were so shocked, but she has been acting so 2 lately that I'm not as surprised as I wish I was. We came home and roll played how to treat babies and she didn't get to watch her favorite show. I'm up for any other suggestions if anyone has them .
I'm really annoyed. I saw the sports doctor Monday. I was told I'd hear from the EMG scheduler Thurs. at the latest. I still haven't heard from them. Then I talked to a coworker who said it took her weeks to get in. How long is this ordeal going to be?!? <grumble>
I have zero motivation to run today. The thought of changing into my running clothes (tank and shorts) in my freezing cold office does not sound appealing.
I completely wasted $$ this week on our cleaning service. She came and cleaned on Wednesday, and you wouldn't even know it thanks to this week's crappy, rainy weather and all the dirt/mud that gets tracked in by our dog after we let him outside to do his business.
I feel so ugly latetly. I'm still trying to lose the rest of the baby weight, I don't have the time anymore to make my hair/makeup look nice, and my skin is just a mess post-pregnancy. Living in a ridiculously humid climate is not helping-my hair will be frizzy and my skin an oily mess for the next 9 months. I need to snap out of it.
On a more positive note, DD found her toes this week and it is so damn cute and makes me smile. I could just stare at her all day.

How old is she again? I don't have any personal experience yet, but is she too young to understand?
I am sad that my two are already "shoving" each other. They are only one! They get mad at each other if the one tries to take a toy from the other, but they don't understand sharing, nor do they understand they can't push each other. They can only be learning it from the toddlers at daycare. We obviously don't do anything physical at home and they never watch tv.

Why do you leave it in neutral? Kinda gives you the least roll protection.
I can't use the parking brake in the winter (it would freeze) so I leave it in gear. In my driveway or anyplace it'd roll backward I leave it in whatever gear I used to pull in (usually 2nd, but whatever), and I leave it in reverse anywhere it would naturally roll forward.
I baked lactation cookies yesterday. You're supposed to eat one with each meal. I ate 4 yesterday. And 2 so far today. But they're good for me, because they're going to boost my milk supply, right? RIGHT?!

She's 2 (28 months). I know that it is very normal, but she does know better. They had to put her in time-out for the first time. When we were driving home I told her that it made me really sad to hear that she was unkind to the baby and she told me that she was sad too, and had to go to time-out. So, she gets it. After I tucked her in she said "mommy, I'm sorry" . Toddlers are by nature impulsive and easily frustrated...I just feel terrible and would like to avoid it in the future as much as possible.
Non-H&FR: I have two interviews scheduled next week and don't own a single pair of heels to wear. Ugh. I don't want to spend a bunch on shoes I will never wear, but I don't think I have anything appropriate. I think I am going to head to TJMaxx or Nordstrom Rack and hope I can find something decent on the cheap!
I have a client that I would see occasionally, I always assumed she was just a skinny sort of girl who probably eats nothing but salads and tiny portions and would be one to worry about "bulking up."
She showed up to my boot camp class last week and holy o freaking cow she has an unbelievably muscular body. My jaw dropped. I would like to ask her for a picture of her shoulders and arms so I can give it to my trainer because that would be something to work towards. Needless to say she kicked ass in boot camp.

Payless has some basic black and nude pumps that are somewhat comfortable for $20.

Thank you! Someone on MM actually just suggested those, so I am going to head to payless this afternoon to check them out. Hopefully they will have some in stock.

It's basically an absolute fact that I NEED the scoop me up tank in the zippy green, and despite the spending freeze I put myself on, I'm 99.9% certain that I will be buying it.

I'll second these shoes--they are amazingly comfortable, even on my wide feet
I'm going to have to shake my head at you LLL folks, and stress again how awesome my Walmart $6 tanks are
I'm way too pumped about our new vacuum cleaner. We were signing our loan documents this past week, and my career is listed as Homemaker. I thought it sounded funny, but after the vacuum cleaner excitement I think it fits, lol.

No rolling, no brake
i have no idea, i've just always done it that way. I don't have any problems with anything freezing here. I always just snatch the ebrake up and call it good..
Also, my two running friends joined team in training. I am scared means I have to find new running buddies for my long weekend runs, or continue running with them (and the rest of the team in training people) and constantly be pressured into joining. The team in training people are super pushy on Facebook, and I'd hate to be pressured like that I'm person.

Some people - mainly gearheads and people my parents and grandparents age will often say that parking it in neutral is better for "just incase purposes". For instance, if for some reason the transmission fails and you cant move the gear shift it's better for it to be in neutral than in a gear for towing purposes.
There's also the people that say that leaving it in gear is hard on the transmission, but that's really not true. The transmission is doing nothing when the car isn't on or moving.
But realistically the chances that something is going to happen to a car where it would be impossible to get it into neutral to tow it is pretty slim.
That said, I do leave my dirt bike and my ATV in neutral because the gears in those have a much higher chance of sticking or breaking, and it is much easier to roll them when they're in neutral.
I never leave my car in neutral. I'm too afraid of the parking brake failing.
kams - my little brother almost got kicked out of preschool for biting. The thing that finally got him to stop was when another toddler bit him. I'm not saying to harm your kids, but I don't think they really understand at that age. Sure we told him it was wrong, but he didn't get it till he realized it hurt.
