Today at lunch my co-worker was ranting about how much she hates topiaries because they are "unnatural" and "weird" and "Who wants a bush cut into the shape of an animal?"
And then she didn't get it when my other co-worker and I laughed until we cried.

I used to do shows at a zoo. First we brought out a beaver. The MC talked about the beaver for a while. Next we brought out a cougar. The MC started talking about how the cougar lives to eat beaver. I'm cracking up. I don't think he realized what he was saying because he kept going on and on about how much the cougar loved eating beaver, eating beaver is his favorite, etc. Tears were streaming down my face.

We have a topiary shaped like a longhorn steer right outside of our office. Without fail there are tourists taking photos with it at least three times a week. Only in Texas do we have Longhorn bush.
Ok Shit, I'll admit it. I would have been confused by your laughter too. I had to read your post 3 or 4 times to find the funny...but yeah, now I get it.
