For some reason the idea of running 2.5 - 3 hours alone tomorrow morning in the cold, and potentially in the rain, is sounding less & less appealing . I "want" to do this run, but gosh I will be happy when it's successfully over.
I thought a local friend training for a 25K might run with me, but she's out if town. Based on how this goes, I will decide if either of the 2 June marathons I'm considering are realistic. I'll be thinking of all of you out there tomorrow morning too!
You can do it! You'll feel so accomplished when your done. Maybe put together a new playlist of music? For my long runs this past training cycle, I tried to arrange and have someone run with me for at least half of the run to make it more interesting(since no one else is training for the same distance now).
Thanks girls! I did 17 miles, and as expected I'm happy it's successfully complete. It was dark, rainy, and windy when I got up so I did an hour on the treadmill first. Once it got light I couldn't handle it anymore and quickly put on pants, windbreaker, gloves, earband and braved the wind and intermittent rain for 11 miles. Once I got going the weather wasn't even too bad, except when I was running North...
It worked out better than I thought! Even though the treadmill is kind of a drag, it was a nice change to start there & then only have 11 to do outside. The treadmill made the rain seem not so bad.
