I've seen the whole thing. It's horrifying. Then there was the MC-12 crash in Afghanistan and now a KC-135 crash in Kyrgyzstan. The reports are that the 135 exploded and broke into pieces in mid air. My DH is an Air Force pilot. He knew one of the MC-12 pilots and flies the 135, and he assumes he'll know at least one of the pilots once their names are announced. It's been a rough week in the aviation world. My heart goes out to all the families affected

The Air Force is a small world, so I'm sure the pilot world is smaller.

I hadn't watched it before. I just looks so fake.
I watched an abc broadcast after watching the dashcam a few times, and the 'expert' thought that the cargo (heavy vehicles) may have broken loose and slid to do the back of the plan making it impossible to fix.
We saw it on the internets the other day before it aired on the news. DH and I were both sure it was photoshopped it looked so awful. hilwithonelary I'm very sorry. My son-in-law (as of a couple months now) is a Navy pilot and this stuff is horrid to watch and even worse to think about, especially thinking about the possibility that it could happen with a loved one or a friend, or even an acquaintance.

ugh. I just hate to think how awful those last moments were for the pilots, the fear in knowing that you are going to crash and there is nothing that you can do to stop it.
