Who wants a 3 yr old? Just saw a rental we LOVE and Franca acted like a shithead. There is a downstairs tenant and the owner is worried about noise. So of course, Franca was wearing her stompiest shoes and not listening. Then Mina starts crying. She never cries!!
We think they won't give it to us because of the potential noise. DH and I feel like crying.
Ahhhhh! It makes the other rental look like a total shithole.

Thanks ladies. You are making me feel better. I just sent him our app with other information. He's really interested in renovating and I think will be impressed with what we did to our house.
Aw, sorry babe! Are duplexes the only option in the area? Because I bet with little kids a stand-alone structure would probably be best, even if this was an aberration, ya know? You'll find something you like as well soon - it's going to be listed on Monday, I just know it
Look at this way...you've said you wanted something low stress and a little more carefree for awhile so you had more family time. Like THR said it's all meant to be. Also I'll say it again, I said above you don't want to spend your whole year there freaking out your kids are too loud either. No house is worth that no matter how great.
And if it makes you feel better, my SIL went through the same thing. They ended up in a dumpy dump apartment for six months while they built. No outside space next to a crackhead. With kids. It was fabulous. Every good townhouse or apartment passed them up because they had 3 kids.

Thanks ladies. We can have the rental 3 doors from my running partner. It's ok, close to downtown but just old and not great.
The one we missed out on was just awesome. Not close to downtown but so so nice, new, and cheaper. Ugh. It would have sucked to have worried about noise and there wasn't direct access to the backyard.
