Please help a makeup challenged girl out. Do you use different primers for face and eye, or can it be the same? I use the Monistat gel for my face and Bb cream, but I live in a humid area and my shadow disappears pretty quickly. Should I try an eye primer? Thanks!
Yes, you should use different products. If you have a Sephora nearby you can ask for samples of some of the more popular primers so you can see which one works best for you. In the drugstore, I've heard a lot of good things about ELF's mineral primer.

I use two also because I don't always wear eyeshadow or liner. I use Bare Minerals for oily skin on my face and Urban Decay eye primer potion on my eyes.

I always use eye primer, and a different one for my face when I need it.
If you're having problems with your eye makeup staying -- yes, you should try eye primer. Not sure I understand the question and "should I try it" if you know it exists, others use it, and that what you use isn't enough.... Not to be snarky, but ... I don't get it.

Maybe she's never tried her face primer in her eye area, and wanted to know if it was really necessary to buy a different product, to which I would say no, because face primer is what I use in my eye area and it works fine for me.

Right - but what she's using doesn't work for her eyes. She wasn't saying "Neither my eye nor face makeup last with the Monistat, so I'm buying face primer anyway. Can I use it on my eyes also, or do I need a separate eye primer?"
I read OP as "Monistat doesn't work on my eyes. My eye makeup is melting off. Should I try eye primer? The alternative is keep doing what I do now, which I know isn't effective."

Yep, I use 2 different once. They both have a different texture to work best for their purpose. My face primer, for instance, is very light & dries to an almost powder finish. It also has SPF 15. My eye shadow primer is more the consistency of a concealer that dries clear & has a slightly tacky finish, that way it really holds onto the mineral eye shadow I use. They're for different purposes and I wouldn't use one for the other.
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I am also interested in seeing her makeup application after 12 straight hours of wear. Without any touch ups or powder. Especially the eye shadow areas.
OH Mav, I had to take the shirt back, it had a hole in the side! So sad! Target took it back no troubles though.
I just started using Laura Mercier ( gosh I never know the correct spelling of names ) for my face primer. In the winter/fall in MN I never had a problem with my foundations staying power but now that it's hot and humid I've started using a sample I got from sephora and its been great. I also just to experiment used it on my eyes and my shadow stayed on pretty well so, I might just be using that one product for both.
