I had such a nice weekend. Saturday, I went fabric shopping with my mom at a quilt store by my house. The Boyfriend and I did some catching up on Project Runway. Sunday involved a lot of NOVA and cleaning up the living room and kitchen.
On the NOVA front, if anyone is interested the episode on the Antikythra Mechanism is probably the most interesting thing ever.

NOVA always sucks me in on Sundays! Things I didn't even know I wanted to learn about.
My weekend was crappy.
I was up late on Friday finishing "the dress" (3:30am).
Saturday we moved H's grandmother and it was BAD. So much stuff. I was crawling up the stairs by the time we were done. H and I went to bed as soon as we got home and ate dinner (9pm).
Sunday was niece's birthday party, which was fine at first. Then the kid had too much cake, refused to drink anything or eat anything else. You know, a normal kid's birthday party, but I was already tired and sort of cranky, and all the driving made my hip hurt.

Wait! dateSSSSS, gault?? I thought you only had one! Spill it!
I'm lazy. Here is my weekend report C&P'ed from SO. Lol. My weekend was awesome!
Friday there was some potential drama involving P's XGF. He seriously pulled through and demonstrated his colors to me in a very good way. We were both exhausted so we just watched a movie.
Saturday we met some friends at the market. Then I hit the gym and then my hammock for some reading. The weather was AWESOME here so we grilled out and then walked down to a local pub for a few drinks on their patio.
Sunday I have brunch (outside, of course) with a BFF. Then hit up my neighborhood garage sale with my other BFF. Then P and I went out for mexican food (outside, of course) to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Ole!
I have never gotten less shit done on a weekend without it being intentional. Holy cranky baby. What did work was strapping her to me and going to Trader Joes and tj maxx. So I guess I did manage to buy a cupboard full of cookies and a freezer full of TJ's delights.
Oh, and Saturday we sat down with the kitchen guy at Home Depot and planned our kitchen. Going to have sooooo much more storage!

Dinner 1) bulgogi (korean marinated beef) over rice with a fresh salad and semi-home made salad dressing.
Dinner 2) Stuffed peppers: Ground beef, garlic powder, salt, oregano, basil, marjoram, thyme, and cracked rosemary, homemade tomato sauce and rice cooked with chicken bouillon. And on the side - a fresh salad with lettuce, radishes, peppers, onion and cucumbers. (same dressing from Saturday night). H made a strawberry-rhubarb pie for dessert.
Saturday was fun, my parents go to our house 10 minutes after got back from running errands. The weather was gorgeous and we just hung out all day. Sunday the kids and I went to cheer people on at the flying pig, we came home when the rain started and DS #1 had to pee really bad.
We took the kids to an indoor playplace after naptime and let them run themselves silly for 90 minutes or so. Then it was home for pasta, salad and ice cream. Then we all went to bed early.
My folks too DD to school this morning and then they headed for home leaving DH with a despondent corgi (jack LOVES my parents).
This weekend was fun. Friday H and I went out to dinner and hung out with BIL and his fiance. Saturday my parents came over and we went out for seafood. OMG I had the best crab soup ever. I am glad it's a bit of an effort to go to that side of town or else I would be eating it everyday. Sunday it cleared up for a bit and I had a margarita then made a rash decision and bought a used xbox 360 and a video game. H and I played for a few hours last night. It was fun to play together.
Bully- glad to hear that things are going so well with P!
I ran a lot of errands this weekend and I finally planted my window boxes. We went to an excellent dinner on Saturday for Brad's birthday. It was a fun night.
Sunday, I napped a lot and nearly failed my weekend run, but pulled through somehow. 3 minutes seems so long. I don't know how I'll be able to do 5 next week.

I see people at least 5 times my size running like it's no big deal- easy peasy. Meanwhile, I think I might die if I run 5 full minutes. The fact that I am that out of shape makes me feel like a loser.

Eh, running is HARD! I used to be able to do the elliptical for 60 minutes but I couldn't run a mile to save my life! You work up to it. I bet you I couldn't run over 2 miles right now if I tried. You should be proud of yourself for doing it!

Muddled Not a loser! Running is hard. I've always thought certain people (because of body types, general shape, lungs capacity, whatever/idk) are just not meant to run. I'm one of those people.

Muddled - Nova is a science, documentary series that PBS has been doing FOREVER. They cover a lot of current science stuff but also do a lot of cool historical studies. Basically, there is something for everyone. You can stream them for free on the PBS website. Most of the episodes are an hour.
Muddled, you are the last thing from a loser. Trust :-)
I had two dates this weekend and a date with number three tonight. Lol. One has already said I like you but I like someone else more so bye bye. Wah wahhhh. The other guy... I'm on my phone so I won't type it all out now. Might ask some advice on that one, although I think I know what the consensus will be.
I forgot that dating can be fucking tricky. Plus I'm seeing people I don't know I would have seen as a heavier person, in a good way. Better self image and all that, but im intimidated. Still getting the hang of everything.
I slept a lot on Saturday. Sold some stuff on Poshmark and got my hair cut and license renewed. Another year older, another ugly license mug shot.
Sunday was church and hanging out with DD. My H decided at 3 pm that he was going to rip out and insteall the new dining room carpet (which he's never done before). We've had the carpet roll for THREE YEARS, sitting on our basement steps. His parents came over one day all "hey we got this carpet for you." (Uh, thanks?) Well, it took a while to empty out the room. Then rip up the hideous old stuff and the three layers of tile underneath. Because our dining room table is pretty large, we wound up having to move it out on the deck. Well, guess where my dining room table is still residing - he didn't even come close to finishing the new carpet. He has class after work tonight, so it won't be worked on tomorrow.
If this turns into another year-long project like my kitchen turned out to be, I think a divorce is in my future (OK I'm kidding...maybe). God love him, but maybe don't start big projects at 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon. I don't want my expensive dining room table on the frickin' deck.
malibu - Boyfriend does stuff like that too! He takes ambian to sleep at night and ten minutes after he takes it is when he decides to fix my computer or phone or whatever. Why now?!?!?!
gault - post about the other guy. We have input! You are seriously so gorgeous and you should feel confident to go out with whomever you please.
Guy #1- likes someone else more. Fine. He probably knew that before he ever even met you, so no big deal there.
#2- I am guessing this is a trust your gut kind of situation? I dunno. Will reserve judgement until I hear more.
#3- Have fun!!!
Remember that you are dating because it's fun and enjoyable and you are in a new place and meeting new people. Don't put all this pressure on yourself. If you click, super cool. If you don't, you at least had, if not a good experience, a good story. You are hot stuff, woman. Go in with your head held high and remember that it's a 2 way street. You have veto power, too.
