I've been meaning to ask you where you are in Alaska. I spent a year in Ketchikan a little while back just to experience it, but it was too depressing for me. Way too much rain and not enough daylight.

I would love to go back to Alaska to visit somewhere that's not so wet. Anchorage sounds like my kind of place. Ketchikan was beautiful, but raincoats aren't really a good look for me.
We don't get that much rain. But our temps in the summer aren't hot. I think the record breaker was 85 about 20 years ago. I don't think it's even hit 70 yet this summer, but we've had some really nice days. If you like hot weather, Anchorage isn't the place to go. Fairbanks gets into the 80's or 90's.

I saw one for the first time ever (outside of captivity) on Friday at my son's daycare picnic! I was so busy staring up at it that I nearly walked into a tree, lol. I was stunned, they are rarely seen in my area, it was gorgeous!

I saw a bald eagle at the zoo once. It had been injured so it couldn't fly anyone. I can't believe how HUGE they are! What a beautiful bird that looks like it's about to kill you every second, lol.
they are big. That's why it caugh my eye. I'm used to little tweety birds flying by. But I looked up when I saw the this massive thing go by the window. Caw caw!!
