We weren't even looking but I feel like it would've been the perfect place for us I feel like we're never going to be able to afford what we really want in the urban area we love oh so much.
This place was perfect. Room for us to grow when we want kids, but also perfect for living the night life scene we enjoy now. We can live in a 1 bedroom place now, but it is actually more expensive than what the town home was going to cost.
This brought to you by passing the empty lot they are building on.
I know it stinks to lose out on a really awesome place, but don't get too down about it. There's always another house that pops up sooner or later that you'll love just as much or even better.

I felt this way about every house that fell through. In the end, we got the perfect place and I couldn't imagine a better house. Don't get down, something else always pops up!
*I know that's annoying advice but it's what everyone told me, and they were right.
link? My lease is in Oct and I want something close to work. For what I pay now, it may be cheaper to buy (including taxes/hoa/etc) and then I'd get the tax deduction.
Where was it? Show me pics! And, why'd you lose it?
It was between 5 points and downtown, but they "reserved" every town home within 24 hrs of the site plan going up.
I'm bummed right now because MrJJ is not into putting a bid on a house i love. He liked it too, a lot, but is pissed that home prices are inflated by us right now so doesn't want to buy until they settle. It was AWESOME. I hope the price drops some and nobody else picks it up.
I know it stinks but when you find the right place you'll be glad you didn't get that one. I promise that when you're truly ready the right one will be there. I cried over a house that I loved that was perfect for me and DS, in an awesome neighborhood, totally redone and was sold before I could do anything about it. Thank god I didn't buy it because one month later SO was back in my life and it never would have been big enough for him to move into it with us and we love this house even more.
