Yesterday I was vacuuming and apparently we had some pebbles or sand on the floor, because I put some light scratches in our hardwood. It's dark hardwood so unfortunately they are pretty visible. Any suggestions for repairing or masking?

Old English sells a product (Scratch Cover) that is tinted (light & dark) that you can rub into the scratches to color them and blend them into the rest of the floor. When you rub off the excess it will settle into the scratches without affecting the rest of the floor. This only helps mask the color differences. It won't remove any gouges.
Did it scratch deep enough for there to be a color difference? It could probably be sanded and restained, but I would worry that would stand out more than a scratch would. You could try a stain marker and see if that helps.
We have dark floors and 2 big dogs and 2 preschool age kids. Our floor has scratches but I find them barely noticable unless I'm really looking, and just leave them alone. They all come out when we get our floors poly refinished.
If they are walnut colored, you can rub an unshelled walnut half into the grooves to stain the lighter part and make the difference less visible. You have to redo this every few months or so.
