I loved what I wore. It was a knit blazer, a little structured but still soft (it was merino wool) and I kept it buttoned beneath my boobs so the paunch was disguised. It was black w a gray collar, so accent was closer to my face & the black hid everything else. That was at 9 days pp.
FYI - PP I was nothing like the size I was a 20 weeks. I was so swollen because I had fluids for 24 hours in the hospital and it took 2 weeks for the swelling to go away - and then it did almost overnight. It's so hard to say what size you will be 5 to 10 days after delivery. Also, my boobs were huge - and that's saying a lot because they were huge during pregnancy too.
I was too much of a mental mess to schedule them right away, but when we finally had "infant" pictures done at 5 weeks, I wore a black top and jeans and liked the way I looked - both then and looking backing on them now.
I just wore a maternity tank (from ON) and my maternity jeans. We were only in 2 or 3 pics. This is my fav one of DS. He's smiling because he's pooping!

I wore a loose nursing dress so my stomach was mostly hidden (DS was 8 days old when we had the photos done). Also my photographer took mostly photos above the waist or where DS was covering me, bless her, so you can't see much anyway.
I liked what I wore - my skinny maternity jeans, a black camisole and a pretty pink cardigan. the cardigan wasn't loose at all (not super tight though), so I think it made me look like I had a figure again - something too loose I think would have made me still look pregnant (and I still did look relatively pregnant at that point in time, he was only 12 days old).
i really dislike our NB pictures though. money was tight at the time and i wish i would've done some better budgeting and paid for a better photographer. i definitely didn't get what i wanted.
