moscow mule - vodka, ginger beer, lime margarita paloma - tequila, grapefruit juice, squirt champagne and guava vodka/gin and guava nectar and a splash of soda
I love making slush in summer--I prefer cranberry/vodka or brandy/lemonade, But I've had something like this and it's great. www.food.com/recipe/rum-slush-78813
It makes a big batch, so it's great for parties (or just to have on hand. I prefer sour soda to sweet.
For rum, I do mojitos, daiquiris (real ones a la Hemingway), or dark and stormy.
My actual favorite cocktails all involve bourbon: old fashioned, mint julep, manhattan.
I also like a good classy margarita.
I don't really like gin, but if I use a very specific type, I really like gin, peach something (can be a liqueur or vodka or even peach nectar), ginger beer, and lime.
We have been drinking a lot of Sweet Tea Vodka lately... mixed with Lemonade, Raspberry Tea, Sweet Tea, Sprite etc. It is a very versatile drink!
I also had Panama Punch at Rainforest Cafe this week and it was delicious. -A cool drink with Bacardi 151, Myers’s Original Dark Rum, Peach Schnapps and 99 Bananas Liqueur. Accented with Creme de Cassis and orange and pineapple juices.
We also had Margarilla at Rainforest Cafe which is made with tequila. -The Rainforest Cafe house specialty featuring Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila and orange sherbet.
