I'm sitting at home, at my desk, for the first time in weeks, with nearly 24 unplanned hours ahead of me. The only things I want to do are go to the gym w/ hubs tomorrow and hit Trader Joes. Laundry is done, house is in decent shape, and I refuse to touch work on the weekends b/c I work so hard all week.
I spent the afternoon snacking and blogging, relaxing after my race this morning which was a ton of fun. Here's a good shot from it:

Settling in with some Cocoa Puffs after a day of cleaning and encouraging a sick little boy to eat, drink, and sleep. No exercise today since DH has been gone since 7am for a soccer tournament, but looking forward to a nice long (for me) run in the morning.
I'm on the computer. I was supposed to go to a party with a friend but my head was hurting (concussion or rain?) so I took a nap then went to dinner with my parents. I sorted through my closet to donate clothes before I move and then joined 2 running groups on meetup.com in Boston! Yay!
We put baby girl to bed and are just catching up on our DVRed shows. Tomorrow's my first Mother's Day. As a present, I've asked for DH to watch baby girl while I go for a run and to bootcamp. Then we'll go to Trader Joe's with DH and baby girl and to my mom and dad's to hang out for the afternoon.

Looks like fun!
About to go to bed. We've been up since 4 with a non-sleeping healthy son and a not healthy daughter who turns out has an ear infection, as determined by my morning at the doctors office.
I did manage to run 3.25 miles today, so at least I can say I did something.
I am unwinding after a busy but fun morning at the Marine Corps Mud Challenge. The distance was shorter this year, but the terrain was very challenging, and so were the obstacles. There were only about 4 that were the same as last year. We had a great time, but I am beat. Almost every muscle in my body hurts, especially my butt! Here are some pics from today:

We just watched the Pens win the series, yay! I was multitasking, box dying my hair and watching the game at the same time. Very happy with how the box color turned out. Debating a bowl of cereal before heading to bed.
Reading a book. I'm wiped out. I ran with my running group and did a 13 mile mountain bike ride with H and a friend all before noon. We spent the afternoon at REI buying crap that we don't really need. At least it included some new bike shorts for me. Win.
I'm in the backseat of my car with my leg propped up on the middle console of my CRV while DH is driving us 4 hours back home. My pup is riding shotgun and I'm in the back lol. It is *soo* much more comfortable than the drive down was though (I was in the passenger seat with my knee all cramped).
I only have 5% battery left on my iPhone and my charger is in the trunk...boo I was planning to browse GBCN.
We stopped once to fill up our water bottles. But other than that no. Wait. We did stop quickly to check our cue sheet, to make sure we were going the right way. But no resting really, just keep going!!
Just got home from a BBQ. I have a serious sweet tooth so I'm eating a pomegranate lollipop, and H and I are both checking emails/FB/etc. I'm catching up on the ML dramz...geeeeeze.
Headed to bed soon - so wiped out. I changed my training schedule when my race was cancelled, so today was day 10 and my body is feeling it. I don't usually go more than 6 straight. Rest & Mothers Day brunch is going to hit the spot.
Hanging out with my niece (who is 3 and spent the at with us), dh,and one pissed off puppy. She is annoyed that it has been a noisy day and that her favorite spot on the couch has been occupied all day.

ooh, anything good?
It caught my eye because the post title is about running a (damn fast) first HM, but it's just the tip of the drama iceberg. It's a long post - 13 pages (how about THAT).
BTW, loved Argo. We love to say Argo Fuck Yourself, lol

I can't believe it took them this long to call this chick out. I've caught a few of her other threads that turned long, & red flags have been a flyin since day one.
We say Argo fuck yourself, too. Such a good movie!
I'm down at my mom's for the weekend. We combined Mother's Day & my step dad & uncle's 60th birthdays. I'm getting ready to go to bed.

I ventured over and saw the insanely long thread, but didn't go much past the first page. I will have to check it out. Argo fuck yourself was hilarious.

I'm just speeding through some shows on the DVR and heading to bed soon. I've been fighting a cold all week, so hopefully some good weekend rest will kick it for good.
I liked Argo too! It's one of few movies that involves my future job, albeit in a scary context.

I'm home alone (well, with a sleeping preschooler) and killing time on the Disney World website. We decided to go later this year and I've never been, so I'm looking at all the fun things we can do. I probably won't wait up for my wife to get home since she's working until 4am, but today (Sunday) is Mothers' Day for us and also our 6th wedding anniversary so I'm tempted to try.
I just got home from Gatsby. :::swoon::: Then I had a fucking HEART ATTACK because DD1's phone gps said she was NOT at her friend's house where she was supposed to be. This is the friend who got busted smoking weed at school last fall. So...yeah. I called her and yelled at her and told her she needed to send me a picture in front of the girl's house, which she promptly did. Oops.
I apologized and told her I hope she knows why I did that and she handled it VERY well. At least she knows I'm always watching.

I just got up (6:30 am is my version of sleeping in) and I'm waiting for coffee to brew. I told DH what I wanted for Mother's Day is to out for a run and a bike ride. I'm not sure what else we're doing today, but I should figure that out.
