This and because he needs a new Reek. When he is reintroduced in the book, I believe his name on the character page is as Reek.
What's a Reek?
Reek is a character in the books that is not in the show. He us basically the Bastard of Bolton's (the torturer guy, they haven't named him in the show yet have they?) Henchman who does nasty things. He is smelly and creepy and kills people.

I read somewhere GRRM wrote the last episode, and he wanted it known that she was pregnant or something. But I'm pretty sure they never said she was in the books.

He did! It made me appreciate the Tywin/Joffery exchange even more.
I need to bump this post because I just watched it and I have questions.
Robb's wife is not pregnant in the book, right? Or at least, we don't think she is?
Do we know why Ramsay is torturing Theon?
I have read the first four books and I'm about 350 pages into the fifth, but I think I glazed over some parts.
In the book, not only was she not pregnant but she did not go with them to the twins/the wedding... interesting.
Also the stuff they are doing with Gendry is different as well. I wonder what they're doing with that. I am thinking they just didn't want to introduce yet another character (kind of like what they did with Sansa and Loras, rather than introducing a new character there.)

She didn't go to the wedding? I was thinking she died too.
Also I totally forgot Sansa wasn't supposed to marry Loras but the other brother!! I was like wait, what other character? I did notice the Gendry stuff was different. I feel like I need to re read the book but it's so looong and I still have to read #4 and 5.

Yeah, they left her behind - I think she went to her parents' house or something. I don't remember why. I wonder if she will survive or if they're just trying to make it even more tragic?

In the book, her family were bannermen to the Lannisters. So they made it seem like her family was in on it to save her.

Im interested to see wha tthey do with Gendry and also the wife... I found it interesting that they did not make the connection with the Lannisters... which was an EVEN bigger slap against the Frey's

I don't mind the blending of Edric Storm and Gendry. I never really cared for Edric in the books, so I feel like there is no great loss. I do wonder if/why Melisandre is bringing him to King's Landing, though. Originally Edric was supposed to wake the dragons (heh heh bad pun) at Dragonstone.
I really like the actress playing Robb's wife. I hope they keep her around. Fun fact! She is Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter!

That's so cool! Fun fact of another kind - the actress playing Shae is in German porn! Woot!

I know! And the porns she was in actually were not too bad. I think I've seen 3 or 4 with her.
