Hope you all had great weekends, what did you end up doing?
Friday and Saturday were pretty low key for me.
Sunday - DH and I had a fun day in your lovely town, scm1011 & liveintheville! We went to brunch at Highland Kitchen then saw the Great Gatsby at the Somerville Theater. We loved the theater, so cute and the bar in the lobby was awesome! I loved the movie!

Glad to hear you liked it. Did you see it in 3D, or regular? I've heard mixed reviews on whether or not the extra $$ for 3D is worth it.
The weekend was so busy. Friday, we drove down to Springfield for the fundraiser my friends were hosting. We didn't get to leave as early as I wanted, though, and traffic was a nightmare. It took us an hour to get from Harvard Square to the Weston tolls on the Pike, and almost 2 1/2 hours to get to my brother's house in Monson. Ugh! We had a great time hanging out with my friends and my brother and SIL at the fundraiser, though, and we got home around midnight. Saturday, my mom and brother showed up around lunch time, but my mom wasn't feeling well, so they didn't stay as long as I thought they would. We grabbed lunch at the Boathouse in Harvard Square, and then hung out at our apartment for a bit. After they left, I took like a two hour nap, heh. Yesterday, we headed to NH for lunch with my in-laws, ran some errands on the way home, and then I was basically a heap on the couch. I never want to get in the car again.

This weekend was super busy for me. I'm really looking forward to having Friday off.
Friday night I showed two houses to new clients of mine. Saturday I did errands in the morning, worked on an offer for another client and got signatures for it, and then showed my new clients another house. Then I went to a 1st communion party for my cousin and then out to eat with some family. Sunday we went and saw my MIL and FIL for lunch. Then I went to see my dad and sister and we walked the lake we are going to throw my mom's ashes in and threw some flowers in there. Then we had a family bbq at my dad's house. I could barely get up this morning.
My weekend was *awesome*! I got together with a girlfriend Friday and we had dinner in Brookline. Then we made a cake to celebrate our joint birthdays. Yummy!
Saturday, my H surprised me with dinner and at show in Boston. We had dinner at Market, which is in the W hotel in the theater district. It was really good! Then we went to see Ross Mathews at the Wilbur Theater. I didn't know who he was, but he was really funny. It was a great night!
Sunday, I met my sister at all mall in Milbury and we hung out, went shopping and had dinner. Really fun to hang with her just the 2 of us, we don't get to do it as much since she's so busy with 2 kids!
All in all, a pretty awesome birthday weekend!
ETA: RockNVoll, have you seen Kimchi Chronicles? It is pretty neat show about a woman who is half Korean, grew up in the US and travels back to Korea to learn all about cooking Korean food. It is a really fun show to watch! She's actually married to a French chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Market is one of his restaurants.

I haven't heard of the show but it sounds cool. What kind of show is it (TV, stand-up, documentary?). And I knew Jean-Georges's name but didn't know he had a restaurant here. Glad you had such a great weekend and happy birthday again!
It is a TV show! I forget what channel, we found it with our DVR and just record the episodes. Here's their website:
The shows are interesting, they travel through Korea and try traditional food. Then they come home and cook the food. I haven't tried the recipes, but they look okay. The host (Marja) grew up in the US and her H, Jean-Georges is a french chef, so the recipes don't seem that authentic to my Korean H. But we enjoy watching it and it makes us hungry. We often get takeout from HMart after watching.
Friday night I was suppose to go running with a friend but she totally forgot so I ended up staying in for the night and catching up on missed tv from the week.
Saturday I had to work. It was move out day for everyone who is not a Senior or involved somehow with commencement. It was suppose to only be from 9-2 but I didn't actually get out until 4. Overall everything went well, and at least they're all out now Then I went to my sister's in Newton as my parents were coming out to visit this weekend and they were going to her place first. We ended up going out to eat at Wicked Pizza in Natick I think.
My parents came home with me since I have a guest room and Sunday my youngest sister drove out from Western MA, we went out for breakfast and then everyone went to the local carnival that came to town. It really turned into an awesome day yesterday considering we woke up to pouring rain in the morning. Everyone had a blast and even my H got out of work early to join us. My mom is awesome to take on carnival rides and we got her to go on this one called Freak Out. I'll tell you what that ride freaked me out! Deep down I knew she loved it cause my dad talked her into going on again with him lol Then for dinner we went to a Japaense Steakhouse where my neice promptly freaked out over the fire on the grill. Fun times had by all

Yay! Glad you had a good time. We hung out and did a steak dinner for Mother's Day with my parents and 2 other families.
We watched Silver Linings Playbook too and I really liked it!!
I heard traffic was a nightmare Friday and they said it was the busiest commuting day of the year but I just couldnt figure it out. I spent way too much time in the car this weekend as well.
5kcandlesinthewind - We saw the Great Gatsby in standard 2D, the colors and cinematography were amazing everything was very vibrant. I thought that the effects were awesome and helped add the certain parts - driving, party scenes, etc. I didn't feel like I was missing out by seeing it in 2D vs 3D.
