Memorial Gifts/Loss of Mother ideas?

Hi!  Not H&G related, but a close family member of mine just lost her mother and I want to give her something to put in her home or in her garden as a memorial.  Maybe an engraved garden stone or something.  My original idea was a pretty wind chime that plays Amazing Grace and has a prayer engraved on it, but she received another wind chime at the funeral (not nearly as nice as the one I was looking at though). She has a front porch and a back porch with a large yard, so I was thinking of maybe still getting the wind chime I picked out.Does anyone has anything they could suggest? I'm looking to spend around $50.

I don't think I'd buy another chime. What about some kind of little cement statue? Maybe one of an angel or something?

It's such a subjective gift because I wouldn't have a clue what to do with a chime (because I don't garden), but it sounds like your friend would like.

I would consider buying a bush or tree instead TBH.
No offense, but I got so much of that "memorial" stuff when Hope died, I didn't know what to do with it. Also, it could be just me, but I didn't like a lot of that stuff around. I found it a bit uncomfortable to look at all the time. I boxed up all about 3 of my favorites and just recently took the box to goodwill as I was finally ready to part with it.
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer about this, but is this something your friend is in to? If so carry on and ignore my two cents.

What's her mother's favorite flower? When my best friend lost her mom, we picked up a lilac bush (her mother's favorite flower) and planted in her yard to remember her mom. Every time it blooms, she gets to remember the best of her mom.
