Hey all I am in need of some advice here. Before I start I know you aren't drs and even if you are you cant exactly diagnose me through here. But I just wanted to see what your thoughts/experiences are and if you have any advice other than going to the Dr which I know I need to do. I just like going in prepared.
Over the past few weeks ive been having a dull pain in my knee when I run downhill. It hasn't been too much pain and I even took a week off running to try to let it heal a bit. I have gone back and forth between thinking it might be a tracking problem with my kneecap or being an it problem.
Friday I had considerable pain simply walking downhill. Saturday on my long run I used Kt tape on my knee for full knee support. However once again on the descent my knee no longer had a dull pain but a sharp pain. I had to painfully walk the last three flat miles home.
I don't want to further injure myself but I also really don't want to have to skip my first half in a few weeks. Thankfully I am beginning to taper and don't have any very long runs scheduled. So any thoughts advice or just support would be appreciated. I'm pretty upset over the whole thing. Thanks!
