I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to stop the stomach cramps I've been having after my morning run.
I run around 5:45 am for usually 30 minutes. I don't eat anything before, but have a glass or a glass and a half of water before leaving. When I come back, I usually have another glass of water, take a shower then have 1-2 cups of coffee and breakfast usually an hour later. The cramps start after the shower, usually after the coffee and last all morning to mid-afternoon. Anything I eat increases them.
Any ideas on why? Could it be running and then having coffee 20-25sh minutes after? I've been running 6x a week since January and these cramps have just started occur in the past two weeks, but have not stopped.

Has it gotten hotter and/or more humid in your area over the last few weeks? I get that problem when I'm dehydrated, and usually drinking more water before/during/after running helps.
Another guess that it's dehydration. I have to drink a lot before my morning runs now and have to start drinking during my runs incredibly early. Heat and humidity are a killer.
Are you having regular water? After I had major stomach cramps after longer runs, my dr recommended drinking SmartWater or Gatorade. If you're dehydrated (maybe it's starting now now because it's warmer out) your body may need the electrolytes.
If you've been doing this same routine for months, I don't think it would be the coffee. I get cramps from the caffeine in coffee, but if it just recently started for you, I doubt that's the culprit.
its a little bit hotter but i live in the Swiss Alps, so its never warmer than 50-60 F (it had been in the 30s/40s), so maybe it not that? I'll try drinking more and maybe buy some gatorade.
