Im not sure what made me think of this on the ride home from work yesterday but all of a sudden I thought of the Ouija Board my brother and I had as kids and thought "holy fuck... I cant belive we had one of those".
We had some weird shit come through and I'm a total beleiver.
Anyone want to share stories? You know you have some!
We used to have seances all the time and used the ouija board a lot. It was always when we had a bunch of girlfriends over having a sleep over and I am convinced there was always one of us who was moving it. I think I did it myself once, spelled out something random.
Funny story, my sister and her friend were trying to call Elvis or someone, and I was home but had no idea what they were up to. I went upstairs and I her door was closed so I ran up and banged on the door. Scared the shit out of them, they started screaming bloody murder! They were convinced it was Elvis showing them a sign. lol

I dont know. I would only use it with my brother and he SWORE ON HIS LIFE he didnt move it. I was super curious too and never intentionally moved it either and we had a TON of "spirits" come through. It freaked us out to the point where we burned the board in a fire.
We brought it over to my cousins house one day. We were young... like 13 and my brother was 9. A man "came through" and said he died in her house before her parents moved there and gave us details and dates.
We asked her parents about it and my aunt had this horrified look on her face like "where did you hear that" because it was all true and the only two people who knew about it was my aunt and uncle.
That kind of solidified it for me. I'll never touch one ever again and wont allow it in my house.

I wouldn't buy it now because i would be too spooked. But, hell yes i used to play all the time. I think maybe i was just young and naive. I never actually thought it worked. At sleepovers when we were little we would have seances too. I did get a little freaked out from a seance once though.

Wait. You saw a man come through the board at your cousins house? With your own actual eyes?

no no... we didnt SEE him physically... he came through and "wrote" to us.

lol This sounds a lot like my sleepovers when i was younger. I remember we were at my childhood's BFF's house and a light went out during one. WE FREAKED OUT. I mean obviously the lightbulb was flickering before then and burnt out at just the right time but it was still pretty scary. We always started with the lights out and then would get the balls to turn the lights off.
I think ouji boards are a crock of shit, BUT I do believe in ghosts and I think I may have seen something when I was younger, but I'm not really sure. Well, let me rephrase, I guess I don't think they are a crock but I'm skeptical of them. I do believe in the supernatural so I can't discount any experiences with a ouiji board anyone might have had. When I was about 9 I had a friend with a pretty wild imagination. She had me convinced that there were 2 spirits that lived in her basement. A boy and a girl. She used to talk about them constantly and would sometimes stop abruptly and say "hear that? He said we have to go upstairs now" and creepy shit like that. I was always terrified at her house at sleepovers, but had to try to pretend it didn't bother me. Well one night I had to pee, had to, could not hold it in. I opened her bedroom door and shimmied down the hall to the bathroom as quick as I could, peed and then opened the door to run back. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone standing at the edge of the hall, right where the living room opened up. It was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. I know I was already hyped up from having to run down the hall all scared, but I know I didn't imagine this. It wasn't a shadow. It was clearly wearing a red sweater. In a blind panic I ran back into her room and woke her up and told her what I saw. She said to me "oh it's ok, he won't come in here, they never come in here" needless to say, I didn't sleep a fucking wink that night. That house always gave me a "feeling" that I can only describe as unrest. I always felt on edge there. Anytime I have ever gotten that feeling anywhere else I always equate it to being either haunted, or holding on to some sort of energy. The last house we rented was a very old farmhouse and I used to get that feeling there sometimes too. It never quite made me afraid but I did spend a lot of time tucked away in our room all pregnant and lazy, while Alex was at work. Once we moved out he said that he had seen a figure in our third floor window on 2 different occasions. The third floor room was never used, and we didn't keep anything in there.
I voted no, but honestly I'm not sure. I do believe in evil spirits and I've heard way too many stories about ghosts and psychics from reliable people to not be a believer.
When I was in high school my friends and I would take the Ouija boards to the cemetary and try and call up spirits (fucked up, I know). I would NEVER do that now. I'm I complete believe in ghost, spirits, and afterlife.

I believe in them and think they can be really dangerous.
One time some friends and I used it and contacted a little boy. When we asked how he died he chose to my friend experience his death rather than just "spell" it out. She started choking and waving all about and we were all freaking out. We tree the board, turned on the lights and started shaking our friend. When things calmed down she told us she could feel waves of water hitting her body, she could taste salt in her mouth, hands gripping her arms and pushing her down. She told us her best guess is that he was drown in an ocean forcefully. Obviously there will always be skeptics and since it wasn't my personal experience I will never 100% know.
We always used home made boards because we read that they are more powerful and "better".
Finally I decided I was done messing with the thing and threw it away in our outside garbage can. A few days later it was back in my room in its usual hiding spot. It freaked me the fuck out.
I ended up giving it to a friend and thankfully it never reappeared after that.
I learned that you wont always get a ghost, sometimes you get other things.
Other things?
Ya like more sinister things, thats why some people think It can be dangerous, you never know whats on the other end. Idk ive had horrible experiences with ouija and free writing it just gives me the creepies.

Yeah, I was always taught that it was't so much calling on ghosts, but that it involved calling on evil spirits. I don't know if they're real or not, but I do believe in Satan and evil spirits and I believe if you invite evil, evil will come.

Yeah, I believe there are evil spirits and that ouija boards open a door, and that is a dangerous door to open. I have never and will never use one.
