I took tomorrow off as well, except so I can do stuff around the house. Tomorrow night I'm going out to my sister's college for a family bbq dinner.
Saturday she graduates and we are going out after with her boyfriend and his parents.
Sunday we are helping her move apartments across the city.
Also we are sending our dog to the overnight doggy daycare for the first time this weekend, I feel like he will be traumatized coming back. I regret not taking Monday off as well since I feel like I will need it . I also regret not thinking ahead and getting a hotel room out in Worcester this weekend since now we are making the trip to and from Worcester three times this weekend .
I took a sick day today so am running errands and getting a mani/ pedi later then going to the gym. I was out kind of late last night at my sorority alum groups happy hour and needed a day to get some errands done.
Friday - DH got tickets for Harpoonfest.
Saturday - Im planning to do some cleaning and organizing.
Sunday - GTG then DH is trying to drag me to see the star trek movie.

I just saw the new Star Trek last night at the IMAX since my H is a big Star Trek fan. It was actually pretty good though I don't think the 3D is worth it. I did enjoy the first one too so I don't kno whow you feel about it. I did laugh out loud several times which I enjoyed

Ooh good to hear. I have like zero interest in Star Trek, but the previews don't look to bad, and DH has come along to plenty of my movies, so I feel like I own it to him.
I think we might go back to the Somerville theater too, loved the prices and beer/wine!
We saw the last Star Trek on a whim and loved it. You may get lucky with this one
Tonight DH is at fighter practice and I'm taking DD to choir practice with me (free babysitting, woot!)
Friday I *think* I've overscheduled things. I'm set to do a clothing and gear swap with a moms group, I think I have a waxing appointment, and we have a playdate at the dairy for ice cream in the afternoon, with a friend I haven't seen in 2 months
Saturday we're going medieval and heading to that event in RI. I'm kind of excited
Ooh, jealous of the short week! It is SO nice out. We ate lunch outside and I did not want to come back in.
My weekend: Friday: Dinner/shopping with a girlfriend Sat: NO PLANS! Probably do some yard work, chores and relax. H is planning to BBQ for dinner. Sun: Working all day for my H's side business. Sucks because we'll be inside a dark auditorium for about 8 hrs, 10 AM to 4 PM. I wish it was going to rain.
RockNVoll: Tell me what you think of Alvin Aily! I'm debating buying last minute tix for the Sat night show. $33 each, not bad, but not sure my H is up for it.
ETA: I'm a HUGE Star Trek fan. We're going next Saturday. I'm so excited for it! It is directed by JJ Abrams, who I also *love*! His company did all my favorite shows: Alias, Lost and Person of Interest, etc. He's also doing the next Star Wars movie (episode 7, which I just found out they are making! Hopefully better than 1-3 which SUCKED).
And in case I'm not enough of a geek, H and I are thinking of going to a Star Trek convention at the Hynes on 6/9. I've never been to one before! Anyone want to come?
Not sure what we're doing this weekend. My email exchange with DH earlier today, haha:
DH: the drive in has star trek and 42 (the movie about Jackie Robinson) on screen 1 this weekend of you're interested. Lilac: i'm gonna go with a no on the movies... I need to buy tomato plants DH: tomato plants instead of movies, lame!! Lilac: Anything instead of Star Trek. DH: I no longer like you!
But yeah, I do want to plant tomatoes this weekend, plus green beans, more squash and cucumbers. My peas are doing really well!! I can't wait for all the fresh produce :-D

Ha! I had to drag a rather unwilling friend with me to the last Star Trek because no one wanted to go. After seeing it he told my other friend how good it was and that friend saw it with H, who wouldn't go with me. I LOVED Alias and JJ Abrams :)I'm really looking forward to it, but we can't go this weekend. Tony's girlfriend is playing porchfest. As is scm1011's H! So we'll be in Teele this weekend!
If the Star Trek convention is anything like Galaxy Quest, I'm in!
I plan to do a bunch of errands today. I am returning some things to Buy Buy Baby and buying a bunch of other things, picking up some more plates and bowls at Crate and Barrel (I just bought a set of 8, but I think that I want 12 instead), hanging up my new starburst mirror that someone on MM recommended (I love it!) and going to the grocery store and CVS. I will probably also do some gardening and yard work and cleaning.
Tomorrow I NEED to do laundry. I haven't done it since the start of April. J also wants to see Star Trek and I am trying to think of excuses to get out of it. We did go to the movies in Braintree last weekend and AMC has installed these chairs that fully recline with foot rests in all of the theaters. They're really comfy and nice. I suppose I could take a nap if we saw it there.
Sunday just the GTG and then maybe a little shopping at Copley/Prudential/Newbury Street. Can't wait to see everyone!

Oh, Galaxy Quest!! I just discovered this movie last year and *LOVED* it!
I was sad when I heard that JJ Abrams doesn't even like Star Trek. That seems wrong! But he's done a nice job with the movies, so I forgive him. I'm irrationally excited about the convention. I really hope we can go (there is chance I might be traveling for work, which would make me cry!). I was even thinking of sewing us some uniforms. Not sure I'll have time, but that would be FUN!
liveintheville, yep K's band is playing at 5pm if you're still in the hood! Its not at our house, its at his guitar player's house on Curtis Ave (I'll text you the exact number if you're going to be around and want to check it out!). Should be fun! Its not one of his regular bands with original music, its just a group of our friends who are getting together to do fun covers. There will of course be beer and food as well
Also, as someone who has been to Comic Con more than once, I'll sit with you and noodleoo on the geek bench
Sweet! Yeah I don't think we have anything tomorrow evening. I'm not sure what time Carri is playing or where but it's in the Davis area I think.
Tonight we have a going away party for some friends at the park. I think people are going to be smuggling in drinks. You only need 1 sober adult to keep an eye on 30 kids right? Tomorrow we need to get the kids some summer clothes and then porchfest later. Sunday is Dim Sum!! And C has a bday party in the afternoon.
I'm doing the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this weekend! This is my 10th walk (not always as a walker, I Crew as well). Up at 4:30 tomorrow morning, 39.3 miles of walking, and camping out tomorrow night - yet it still feels like a vacation to me these days, lol. I'm psyched that the weather looks to be cooperative, I've done too many rainy walks!

Ha! I saw that interview with him on the Daily Show where he said that, and then like 5 minutes later he backtracked and talked about how he'd gone back and watched them and now he gets it. Damage control! Heh. My husband is really looking forward to the movie. But he won't drag me to it, so I am looking forward to it for him.
We have nothing planned this weekend, and it's glorious. I've been having this weird foot pain (I think it's tendonitis), so I took yesterday off to rest it. We may grab dinner in the Square tonight if I feel up to it. Otherwise, we'll play it by ear. I'd planned to take a road trip out to Frugal Fannies (my summer work wardrobe is in a super pathetic state right now), and we talked about maybe going to the movies, but it'll depend on whether or not I can walk more than 5 feet without dying, heh.

Rock, I can't believe you went to Brimfield! What did you think?! I didn't read this post until now or I would have asked you all about it over dim sum.
Of course after I mentioned that we might be going, we were too lazy and didn't go on Friday (I had the day off, too).
