I can type pretty quickly with appropriate hand position, but I do way better if I am not thinking about it. I've tried taking a couple of practice typing tests, and when the pressure is on, I suck.
People hate it when I type and talk to them at the same time. I have to finish my thought and you started talking to me. What do you want me to do! At least I make eye contact!
Yes I can, thanks to my 7th grade keyboarding class. My mom was just telling me they don't teach keyboarding anymore so kids don't learn how to type correctly in school....like they don't need it because they're so used to texting and typing on touch screens or something but her kids (she teaches 8th grade) sit there and type with 1 finger on the regular keyboard.
Yes. I am super fast at typing. I took it as an elective senior year. We had to type with our fingers on the correct keys and paper taped to the keyboard laying over top of our hands.
I can do the number panel really fast too, from my two years working in accounts payable and receivable.

I can on a real keyboard but not on an ipad or cell phone, I think because you are holding them so you then don't have all your fingers or the space is smaller? but on a real keyboard, yes.

Yup! I learned on A TYPEWRITER in 9th grade. My mom made me take the full year typing class. I got a D because I got mono in May of that year and missed all classwork.
I remember them telling me I needed to pick which thumb I'd use for the spacebar and I really went home and thought about it because I really thought it was a GIANT decision that would affect the rest of my life!

I can but only because it was mandatory to take keyboarding in 9th grade. Thankfully they had computers for us to use by then but my brothers (who are only 2 and 3 years older than me) had to learn on the typewriter.

We were required to take typing in order to graduate, but it never fit into my schedule. Fortunately, I'm a kiss ass and convinced the guidance department and typing teacher to let me take 9th grade typing during my senior year lunch. My lunch didn't line up perfectly, so I had less time than the 9th grade students. I wanted to test out of the class, but they wouldn't let me. I took advantage of the time and improved my proficiency, and that's when I learned how to type the numbers above the letter pad as well as how to adequately use a number pad, which comes in hand when using the music notation software that I have, because all of the rhythms are based off of numbers. MH is a hunter/pecker (teehee). My father builds databases for national organizations, and he's a seek and find kinda guy, too.
ss? I do not use the correct position (I only type with 1 finger on my right hand, and all but pinky on my left), and I dont need to look, and also type like 80 wpm
