A while back I heard what sounded like a domestic dispute through the walls and debated whether or not tto call the cops. I ended up calling but it was over by the time they arrived.
Today I got more information. I ended up talking outside with my neighbor as her grandson (2 months younger than DS) and DS were playing outside. It was the first time I'd ever really met her. Apparently, her daughter (maybe late teens?) and grandson live there and the girl's boyfriend had been abusing her. That day he'd been choking her and my neighbor and her fiance had no idea he'd been abusing her until the cops showed up (apparently one of them got home in between me calling and the cops showing up).
There have been other incidents since then and she said the boy is now banned from the house. I'm sooo glad I called that day and this just goes to show if you think you should call, CALL!
Thanks everyone for encouraging me to do the right thing.
I'm glad you called. Did you actually come out and tell her you called?
I did. It was her daughter who'd been abused, so I figured she'd appreciate it and I was able to let her know I'll be keeping my eye out if he shows up again.

I'm so glad you called too! I always figure it's best to call and let the police figure it out. That must've made you feel good to know you brought awareness to the situation too.
