Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)?
How many miles/week do you run?
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better?
I have been wearing Gel Kayano 17's for 3 years, but ran out of the pairs I had stockpiled when the 18's came out and I hated them. I have had IT issues in the past so I do need support.

What running shoes do you wear? I currently alternate two pairs. Asics 2170s (they don't make these anymore and I hate the 2000s they switched to) and Asics DS Trainer 18s.
Do you like them? I like both, but I LOVE the DS Trainer 18s. They are super lightweight, but not minimalist.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? very very mild pronation

I wear mizuno wave rider 16 I think they are called. New. Used to wear brooks glycerine and tried pure flows
Do you like them? I love my new mizunos. Been wearing them a month now
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? Im a suprapronnator(?) roll and run in the outside of my feet bad.
How many miles/week do you run? Normally 20-25
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I loved my glycerines but my feet were tired from them. They were heavy and I'm rough on my shoes and they were wearing out quick. Loved the pure flows A LOT but the top seam rubbed my right foot too much So far the mizunos run like my glycerines but light like the pure flows yet keep my foot more stable and helping correct my gait. . Perfect!! No more cranky ankles after. My ankles never hurt while running but after were always sensitive and sore. Fine now!!
Asics GT 2170. I went to the running store and tried on a bunch of pairs. The guy there watched me run in all of them and gave his recs. He also suggested the Gel, I think. I went with the cheaper pair because I am a beginning runner. I do like them, but I don't know any other shoe.

How many miles/week do you run? for now, 20-25
I just bought 2170's. Maybe they just happened to have a few pair in stock?

Probably so. I'm surprised you found them in a store somewhere. I hoarded a couple pairs that I found online but I'm finally on my last pair. I was sad to have to switch to something else, but I actually love my new ones so much more.
I wear a couple of different ones. I like the Saucony Guide series (I currently have the Guide 3, but I think they're making at least 5s by now, maybe higher), Newtons, and I just got my first pair of Merrells about a month ago. I rotate all of them.
Do you like them? - I do, I like them all for different reasons
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? - no, I'm pretty nuetral
How many miles/week do you run? - anywhere from 3 on my slacker weeks to 20+, just depends on what I'm training for
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? - like them
Mizuno wave inspire 8. I overpronate and like support. 25ish miles a week right now, but wore them through marathon training. I'm very happy with them.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? I'm a light, neutral runner who can wear almost any type of shoe...except I've got a set o' bunions that are my gift to the earth. Thus I usually wear a shoe with a wider toe box and no seam to irritate my bunions. How many miles/week do you run? 30-35 Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I think they are fine. I've run in lighter shoes at higher mileage and gotten injured. These work fine.
I've never ever liked Asics. Ever, but I know they are super popular.

New Balance 860s Do you like them? I do. I found New Balance have fit my feet well and are wider in the toe box. I pretty much have been using the same shoe for 2 years since I started running. I was fitted by our LRS.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? Pronation
How many miles/week do you run? 8-14 miles a week
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I like them but think I may try another brand after my half. Just feeling like my feet/ankle could feel better sometimes. Not sure if it is in my head but I will go to my LRS and test more pairs out.
What running shoes do you wear? Brooks ghost 4 - I stockpiled when they were discontinued/went on sale. Pretty sure the 6's will be out by the time i need a new pair
Do you like them? Indeed i do.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? I'm a neutral runner so no pronation issues or anything. I do have a narrow heel and need a wide toebox, and brooks have been fantastic for that. I like that the ghosts are fairly lightweight while still being a solid traditional shoe
How many miles/week do you run? for now, 25-30 for now

I wear Brooks Adrenalines.
D you like them? Yes, I love them. I've been wearing them for years.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? I overpronate and need some support.
How many miles/week do you run? 20-25 currently. But I've also worn my Adrenalines while marathon training and running ~40 mpw.
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I've rotated with a couple of other types of shoes over the years, but I always go back to the Adrenalines.

Saucony Ride 5's Do you like them? They're OK.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? Really bad over-pronation. I wear special orthotics from a podiatrist. But I found that anything more than a neutral sore really messes with my feet and knees.
How many miles/week do you run? 15-20, but that will be increasing as I move farther into half training.
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I was told when I was fitted that I'm between a medium and wide width, and went with wides. There are times lately when I feel my feet slipping a bit, so I wonder if there is a better fitting shoe our there for me.

I've been wearing Asics DS Trainers for 10+ years now. I overpronate and sometimes have plantar fasciitis. My mileage varies, but is currently around 15-20 miles/week; I'm not training for anything. I also have a few other pairs of shoes (Newtons, New Balance, Reebok) that I occasionally use.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? Mild overpronation
How many miles/week do you run? Right now, 10 if I'm lucky. But I've run 30 miles/week in them also and had zero (shoe related) issues
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I love them. I started with the 9s and have worn them ever since. I wore Mizuno Waveriders and Saucony Progrids before the Adrenalines and liked them too but not as much as the Adrenalines (for no discernable reason)

I wear Men's Asics 2170s (I have a super wide toe box, so I'm stuck in ugly men's shoes)
Do you like them? I do like them. I have not tried the 2000s that replaced these. I ordered two pairs of the 2170s on sale when the 2000s came out and I'm either going to have to hoard some more or suck it up and switch by the end of summer/early fall
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? I under-pronate - these are stability shoes. When I started running, I was a heavier runner (and still am to some extent). I also have knee issues.
How many miles/week do you run? I've been averaging a little over mid-20s, but I'm trying to scale back a little now that my Spring race season is over and I want to lose the last few lbs
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? I've only tried one other shoe and those went back to the LRS b/c they sucked so much (Saucony somethings)
I wear Brooks Adrenalines, have been wearing them for years. I have a mild over pronantion, and have had PF issues in the past.
I currently run about 30 miles per week in them. I have worn them through marathon training in the past, though, without any problems. Well, without problems related to the shoes, that is.
Ugh, yes, i hated the 18s too, i have one pair of 17s left..havent tried the 19s, hoping i can hold out until a hopefully better kayano 20?! I loved the 17s SO much!
Whenever i get refitted, it always comes down to the kayanos and a pair of sauconys, im not sure which ones.
Anyway, i slightly overpronate, before i was inured i was running about 35 mpw.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? Slight Pronation.
How many miles/week do you run? Typically around 10. 15 if the stars are aligned perfectly and I can get out as often as I want to.
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? So far, I love them. There is something about the toe that is just...perfect. The cost almost made me cry, but comfort wise they are worth it.
On the note of if I like them....they are extremely bright, and came with laces that are glow-in-the-dark green as well as black ones, in the box. I was hesitant because of the colors, but comfort overrode my hesitancy, My kids (age 13 and 10) think that they are the coolest shoes ev-er.
I have been wearing Gel Kayano 17's for 3 years, but ran out of the pairs I had stockpiled when the 18's came out and I hated them. I have had IT issues in the past so I do need support.
So maybe I will be trying out Brooks Adrenaline soon. Looks like they are popular when you need some support and to prevent IT band issues. The SD RnR marathon has a special VIP outhouse (lol) if you spend $150 at Brooks so that's as good of a reason as any to try them. My LRS is full of high school runners who keep telling me to keep buying the kayano's, presumably because they are the most expensive and their limited knowledge tells them the kayano is safe for people who need support.
I alternate between a pair of Mizuno Wave Riders and a pair of Brooks Ghosts.
Do you like them?
I like the stiffer ride of the Wave Riders a lot, so I tend to wear them for my 'harder' runs because they feel lighter and more responsive. I wear the Brooks Ghosts for slower runs and recovery runs. The Ghosts have a lot more cushioning, which I am convinced helps me recover better and avoid sore feet, achy joints, etc.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)?
No. I'm a neutral runner. Before I learned about 'getting fitted' for shoes (so say, the 10+ years that I ran prior to joining TN H&F), I frequently ran 100+ mile months with whatever shoes were prettiest/cheapest at Foot Locker. I guess I was just really lucky?
How many miles/week do you run?
Right now 35ish.
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better?
I like Saucony Triumphs a lot, but I wear out the soles after 200ish miles, which makes them not all that affordable to wear. I guess I don't really have a shoe that I'm super in love with right now.
I switched to Brooks Adrenalines after Asics dropped the 2170s. I went to my local running store and tried on all kinds of shoes and had them watch me run in everything. I have low arches and overpronation and the Adrenalines were the only shoe that really supported me well. I trained for a ran a marathon in them and they have held up well for me. I still miss my Asics though.
Do you like them? Yes! They are very light but still have plenty of cushion. My only complaint is that they wear out quickly, but they are also priced a little lower than traditional running shoes, so that helps.
Do you have any special running issues (over pronation, etc.)? Not really...I probably over-pronate slightly more than ideal, but I've always been fine in neutral shoes
How many miles/week do you run? Currently kind of on a running break, but I've run up to 60 mile weeks in these shoes in the past and have worn them for multiple marathons
Do you like them or is there another pair you like better? Nope!
