I went to lunch with a friend and treated her to a manicure on Friday. Saturday, I went for a run in the morning and went to Lilac's house in the evening. We rode bikes and grilled out. Sunday was the GTG, which was a lot of fun. I am already looking forward to our next one!

So sorry to have missed Dim Sum. DS got dirt in his eye t little league on Sat and it scratched his cornea, he woke up with a huge eye! So we spent the day at the ER.
I really apologize that I was not there, I am not a no-show kind of girl. I would love to try another gtg sometime!
Friday we went to Harpoonfest and had way too many beers. But, it was a ton of fun and wasn't too crowded, which is what we had heard about it.
Saturday - Spent the day recovering which I have to say is rough being over 30!!
Sunday - Had so much fun at the Dim Sum GTG!! DH loved the pork buns I brought home for him. We cleaned a bit then finally watched Argo and Silver Linings Playbook, loved both of them!
Hi Guys! Weekends are too short and this one was busy. I'm exhausted.
Friday I went shopping and had dinner with a friend. She's weird and it was awkward. I had a whole post about it on MM (Gluten Free Friend Vent)
Saturday, we got up early for a Dr appt (H got fitted for contacts!). Not sure they'll work for him. Then we went to the mall, had lunch, did some shopping. We were so tired when we got home, I slept for like 3 hrs. Vegged the rest of the night.
Sunday, we had a job for H's side business. Had to get up early again and were working from 10 to 6 PM about 30 mins away. The job went fine, but I was *exhausted* from being on my feet all day. Vegged the rest of night because I was too tired to do anything else.
Sigh. Long weekend. The money was good, but man it sucks to only have 1 day off and then work 6 days. I don't know how people do it. I can't wait for Mem Day weekend.
PS. RockNVoll: I know what you mean. All I want to do is sleep in this coming weekend!
Happy Monday! I had a great weekend - I did the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Got to UMass Boston at 6 AM on Saturday, walked 26.2 miles on Saturday ending at Prowse Farm in Canton where we camped overnight, then 13.1 miles back to UMass on Sunday. I've done the walk many times before, but I always love it. I was impressed with myself this time in that I managed to make it to my Burn/TRX class at the gym this morning without dying after all that walking (although squats hurt like a sonafabitch). Here's a crappy photo of me at the finish line yesterday:
$4 million raised!
Next weekend we are in Wellfleet - I'm looking forward to a (hopefully) relaxing trip!

I had a busy weekend even with the extra day I took off. Friday we cleaned and did our weekend grocery shopping and other errands then went out to Worcester for dinner with my sister and her friends. Saturday we went back out for her graduation and then out to dinner with my dad and then over to her boyfriend's mother's house for cake and dessert. Then Sunday we went back out to Worcester to help her move apartments. I am thoroughly exhausted and this week is going to be busy, I can't wait for this weekend for 3 days off. I wish I had been able to go to the GTG but hopefully next time I can make it.
I can't wait to hear about the yarn RockNVoll. I was meaning to ask what you scored after the overwhelming feeling went away
Let's see, busy weekend. Friday I attended a mom's group swap and got some cool toys for DD while getting rid of some old clothes. Then I went to a lunch put together by the guys I walk with in the morning. Fun to see everyone in real clothes Saturday we went to a medieval event as a family. DH got to hit people with large sticks (and pointy metal ones), DD got to dress up like a princess, and we got a lot of sun. Sunday was the GTG (which I loved!), followed by a haircut and color. I have strawberry blonde streaks that I love, and apparently they will fade into the blonde. Stylin'
I was so sad to miss dim sum:( My best friend from childhoods grandmother died and I went to a wake late afternoon in RI on Sunday so there wasn't enough time.
Friday DH ordered in pizza and watched what to expect when you're expecting. It was pretty dumb, but I kind of expected that.
Saturday I did Pilates early, then we went to the dog park for a while with our pup, and spent the afternoon test driving cars. I feel like we test drive cars all the time but I never pull the trigger. I want my car, but with better gas mileage. It doesn't really exist. Ugh.
Sunday we went to RI for the wake.
But next weekend I am headed to Virginia Beach for 4 days to sit on the beach with a good friend who lives there. I am so excited to see her and to have a mini vacation!!!
Sorry about your friend's loss, preppy. I hate car shopping so I feel your pain there. Glad you have a break coming up!
Car shopping is so annoying. And I think it's harder because I don't NEED a new car, we would just like something more fuel efficient. In the past we have bought cars because it was a need (totaled car or I left a job with a company car) so I think that having more time is messing with me. Too many choices!!
Awesome job, Devonpow!! I was with the kids at soccer on Sunday morning and saw you heading to the finish line!! So proud of you all!!
. Were you in that park in Dorchester on the water with the long walking path? It was so nice there - I has never been!
Yes!!! It's called Pope John Paul Park- it's so beautiful! The path goes all the way to Castle Island. I was watching all the walkers and thinking I would like to do. That next year. Good for you !
