I had a Peg Perego and it only worked with their car seat. Their car seat seems to be a lot different base and latching wise then the other seats i've found. The others seem more interchangeable. However, I liked the seat and the stroller. The infant seat was a little heavier than others, but we were gifted our set as well, and I wasn't exchanging it.
We bought a used peg perego skate and everything I read said it only worked with that car seat, so that's what we bought
Did you like the car seat? I feel like other than all the safety stuff (which it seems to more than pass), it's just the weight of it. We live in a townhouse, so the car is parked a little ways from the house.
I love the seat but I also rarely took it out of the car. It is definitely heavy. I don't think I would have likely taken any seat in and out though and you probably won't know your preference until baby is here. I know that's not very helpful.

Yeah, the stroller seems really nice and I love how it folds up (which is great, because we don't have a ton of space to store it that's out of the way of living space) so obviously I plan to use it.
The Peg Perego car seat is only like $60 more on Amazon that the Britax I was originally looking at, so that doesn't seem bad, plus I won't have to get the stroller to go with.
Which stroller are you looking at? Have you had a chance to try it out in the store?
I was excited for the Book Plus but it was a big let down to actually try it out in person.

I'm not sure. Friends of ours already gave it to us, but I know they likely bought it at least 2-3 years ago. From looking online, I think it's closest to the Si from the 2012 collection.
I figure that considering it's a free (nice) stroller, I'll have to really hate it to get another, lol.
Oh sorry, I missed that part (should have drank more coffee, and on the app it always starts at the last thread). A free Peg Perego stroller is the right price .
(that's a little harsh, but I had such high hopes!)
You could take a trip someday to great beginnings, with the stroller. They have all sorts of car seat and stroller models; you could try out the car seats to see what fits. I know it's a trek for you, though.
