I know this is a boring subject, so I will tell you a story in pictures.
We got a reel mower:
1) My husband has hideous grass allergies
2) It is low maintenance 3) Good for the lawn/environment
It works well on these accounts, but our yard is full of weedy grass, and that shit grows FAST. Way faster than the real grass.
So you mow the lawn
Only to discover that the weeds were too tall for the stupid little mower to cut. The yard still looks like this:
So then I pull out the weedeater and have at the lawn
But you cannot get every weed in the whole damn yard running around with a weedeater.
Our yard ends up looking like this
After an hour or two, I'm all
But the neighbor directly across from us is like the MARTHA STEWART of lawn keeping, and when he sees me out there going crazy with the weedeater (or futilely mowing), I can tell he is doing this
This guy sweeps his grass clippings out of the street after mowing. That isn't normal, right? Right??
