We went to a huge BBQ yesterday (like 50+ people). It was potluck. I brought my own veggie burger (but let them cook it along with the beef), I made a broccoli salad, and a dessert pizza. I also ate two other salads from the table, some cheese, olives and brownies.
And then I had the worst gastro pains & erm, shits all night. From 2am until about 8:30. I felt better this afternoon, but am all sore and gross feeling again tonight. I had Tums an hour ago and feel like I might lose it any second.
I think food. I would rest as much as possible. When I feel really icky I suck on ice cubes and put cold compresses on the back of my neck. Even having the poops really bad will just leave you feeling blagh
Yikes sorry. But, tell us more about the dessert pizza.
It was the pampered chef brownie thing. I put pineapple, strawberry and skor bits on it. My mum used to make them ages ago when she sold PC (I think the mid-90s, I hadn't had one in eons).
The other person's cheesecake brownie bars were decadent, loads of cheesecakey goodness marbled on a brownie.
There was no mayo except in my own salad. Which MrJJ ate a ton of and he's totally fine (he doesn't do potluck so only ate what we brought).
The other two were a oil/vinegar pasta salad, and some strange ramen noodle on iceberg lettuce thing.
There was cheesecake in the brownie bar I ate, maybe that?
I don't think everyone is as susceptible to it. I have gotten insanely, chunk-blowingly sick from the same stuff that other people who were fine also ate.
Sorry your stomach is upset. It does sound like something food-related. Since Mr. JJ is feeling okay, could it have been from earlier in the day?
My mum just said she thinks it was the beef juices on my veggie burger. She said the stuff you need to breakdown beef I wouldn't have, and that the beef is cross contaminated on my food would cause gastro upset.

This was my thought, too. If you don't normally eat meat, even small amounts can make you sick.

Ha. It's been many many years. I just stopped being fussy about letting other people cook my food.
