Yes, I find I'm still smooth for a month. I usually only get it done every 6 weeks.

Nah.  Just get it done the week before you leave.  I stay smooth for about 3 weeks.

I'd get it done 4 days before.

Do it the week you leave. The first two weeks after a wax are the best. After 3 weeks, you'll start to get regrowth (even if it's still mostly smooth).

I get mine a couple days before I leave.  Enough time for any irritation to calm down, but not long enough to get any regrowth.

I got my underarms done for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was totally worth it, if you're looking to do any add-ons.

It really depends on how fast your hair grows. When I wax, hair usually starts growing through again four days later :/ My hair is dark, so you can see it through the skin.

I would get it done 2 days before, but that's because I'm a hairy beast with really fast growing hair. Last time I got a Brazilian, I had regrowth in 7 days... I brought a razor on my honeymoon and used it. :-(
