Just curious on the experience of others. We are building a 2300 square foot ranch home and I am curious how long it typically takes to frame a house? I have heard it is a quick process (and the finish work is tedious) however I feel like our basement took forever and that was supposedly a "quick" process as well. Lol.
I guess I am just overly excited to start seeing some progress!

Exciting! Our house is similar size but it's a 2 story colonial. I think it took about 2.5 weeks to frame (but the total process is about 6 months for us). Do you have a builder/GC or are you coordinating subs yourself (being your own general contractor)?
We built a modified rambler, so very similar to yours its one floor living on a full basement. 2500 sqft. We broke ground in June and closed in September. The house itself was done at the end of August we were just waiting on electric to finish the hookup and the final inspection.
If you can go by often because you will see big changes day to day and its so much easier fix things while its in the framing stage vs. once its been drywalled.
I am excited to see the progress! The difficult part is we are building behind our current home so I can see the house from my kitchen window daily. We had a lot of rain this spring so it felt like the basement took forever. They would work for a few days and then have to take a few days off. I am hoping things get enclosed quickly so that rain no longer delays things. We hired a general contractor to build the house and I am not sure how many will be part of the crew.
Your houses sound like they came together quickly. I am really hoping to be in by Christmas. That does still give us 6 months but I don't want to get my hopes up.
The house next door to mine is much larger than mine and broke ground mid march, we also had a ton of rain so it took forever to get going, but they have drywall up now and it should be closing early July.
We built a 2200 sq ft ranch last summer and the framing was done in just a few days. One day there was no walls, then there were! The framers were Amish and worked their butts off and did an excellent job.
Our entire house, minus landscaping, was done in 3 months. There were only a few days during that period where no one was working.
