I have two workout shirts that I love and wear often. A couple of week ago I noticed they smelled like sweat even after washing. Since then I've washed in vinegar, made a paste out of baking soda and left it there overnight and even tried spraying with Febreeze. They still smell! Any suggestions for getting the stink out?
I tried it based on someone else's recommendation and it is amazing. It turned DH's rank workout clothes to normal smelling - even nice smelling - clothes.

We just started using Tide Febreze sport for DH's work clothes..and believe me, he is the sweatiest of sweaty beasts. He starts sweating just looking out the window. He works out doors and is soaking wet by the end of the day. He was complaining that even after we washed his clothes in vinegar/detergent/softner they would start to be RANK after he started sweating.
He told me last week that his clothes actually smelled fresh. I'm not really working out, so i can't speak for any of my clothes, but this seemed to do the trick for him.

I've also been using Tide with Febreeze. I'm not sure if it actually gets rid of the stink or just replaces it with a Febreeze scent, but they don't smell sweaty when I use it. I'm not sure if I'll buy another bottle when this one runs out, because the Febreeze scent is very strong.
I had actually gotten some free samples last November at the RnR Savannah expo, but just remembered a week or so ago that I had them. I used one for the first time last week and they are amazing! I have several items that stink even though I've washed them a hundred times, and these totally took the smell out. I have the "fresh" ones.

I pour in some white vinegar with every load of laundry I do. It was the only thing I could find that could get the funk out of my workout clothes. Probably 1/2 - 1 cup for each load although to be honest I just pour it. I figured I'd start with that before any commercial products since it is so cheap.

I agree with you. The Febreeze scent is quite strong, I go back and forth between this and vinegar.
