My 4 year old is sobbing right now because he just realized he's not the second coming of Christ. And it's not fair that Jesus got to be special and he can't be. I don't even know what to say to that.

i remember being SUPER pissed off when i learned about our lady of fatima, who appeared to three children. i was like "wtf, mary? you appear to THOSE children and not to ME?!?!?"
I hate it when people don't cash checks right away. Especially big checks. I am always transferring money from my checking account, so then I feel like I have to constantly monitor it. Doesn't every bank allow you to deposit checks on your phone now? WHAT'S THE HOLD UP, TOM?
OMG. I had a friend hold on to a check for eight fucking months and then she cashed it. It really annoyed me. I mean, perhaps she lost it and then found it but a heads up of "hey, I'm gonna cash this check" would have been nice.

8 MONTHS? That's crazy. It'd probably bounce and at that point I'd be, "Too bad, so sad."

DS's preschool does the same thing. We pay at the beginning of the month and sometimes they don't cash it until the very end of the month... when all of our other bills are due. It's super annoying.

Like, don't they need the cash? I don't get it!
I cash that shit immediately!
Me too!
And if I found a check 8 months after the fact, I'm not sure I'd cash it. The funny thing was that this was for charity so I was a little confused about why it took so long or how it went down.
I have a shit ton of mosquito bites. I scar from them ( purple welts that last weeks). I'm sure they are going to add a nice touch to my bridesmaid look in a couple weeks.
I'm this way with bites, but last year I did well by putting a cold cloth (compress, whatever you wanna call it) on them for a while before bed then slathering on a steroid ointment. I just ask my GP for a prescription. Because hydrocortisone does absolutely nothing for me.
Even if they're only a little faded by the wedding, I'd consider putting a dab of concealer/corrector on any spots that might draw attention.
