I have a FB and IG "friend" who is always posting about her stupid Advocare. "OMG join my challenge, friends! I've lost so much weight and want to help you too" (while making money off of you sucka, mwahhaha!) Today she posted "egg whites and zucchini and because I cook with ZERO fat, a tbsp of almond butter!". I wrote something to her about needing fat, but it's not worth it. Tell me that these Kool Aid drinkers are not worth my time.
Or send me to a tumblr to post so that I don't have to think about how to tell her she's a sheep.
OMG I'm engaging! Someone smack me! I did the whole "Or you could just, I don't know, eat healthy food..."
ahhh! I need to unfollow and move on. I deleted so many morons from my FB between political rants and fad diets and mommy martyring that I have no one on FB left!
I'm confused because almond butter is fat. Rut roh.
I think she meant that she's adding a tbsp of almond butter as a fat because everything else is zero fat. She tried to get me to buy in. I threw out the whole "I don't pay for stuff that I can do on my own or that my liver and kidneys are there for. Good luck with your challenge!" Ok, I'm done I swear!
I would just laugh and move on. I would be on FB all day long if I responded to all the dumb things that show up on my feed.
You're not talking about me, are you?!
No really mcc, I'm for live & let love. Much worse things she could be promoting. I value a healthful diet that includes healthy fats, and I still swear by my nutritional supplementation. Our bodies functioned properly long ago, before our food sources were shit. I personally notice a big difference, but if you aren't into it that's all good.
I don't post about it on fb though, so we can still be buddies

Haha nope! You're smart and awesome! I'm all for doing what works, but not when you're blasting FB on your pyramid scheme to make money off of your friends

LOL - I'm a kams fan, so no! I just have FB friends on all sides of political/religious extremes who post frequently, along with the occasional H&F-related ranter. It's entertaining though. And I'm curious to learn more about your supplements, so you'll have to tell me about it sometime.

Hahaha - I've got all kinds on my feed too. I think I would like so many more people if I didn't see their FB! My 80 year old grandmother - oh man.
I'll go peddle my products to you on FB lol lol lol J/K MCC (kiss)

Taking supplements on your own by choice is one thing, trying to make money off of your fb friends, including your great aunts and grandmother who believe your shit is another. I have an advocare fb friend and it is very hard for me not to say something. Especially when she alternates between "advocare makes me soooooooooooo healthy and skinny!" and "Woe is me, in the hospital again, I have such bad luck with illnesses..."

I have two co-workers who are kool-aid drinkers. It drives me crazy. They have asked me about my weight loss story and I've tried to help them, but they want instant gratification. I mean, I know they are wasting their money and that's not my problem...it's just frustrating. I try to feign excitement over their weight loss, but I'm not a good faker.
