I don't have any suggestions but my parents always tell me about how once when I was trying to pull myself up into my dad's lap I bit down to try and pull up because my hands weren't doing the trick. Poor guy.
We did lots of timeouts. Oh man I forgot about the biting phase. My 15 month old must be getting close to the biting age, I hope she skips it altogether!
David was a horrible, horrible biter. It was hell. He usually only bit me but did bite one kid at the gym, then two kids in preschool. Honestly, it was a long hard road and NOTHING we tried worked. Nothing. And he bit until he was 3. Thank god we're done with that phase.
Funny think is, he was such a sweet kid, never hit or pushed, biting was how he expressed he was mad. Time outs, taking things away, I'd get as harsh as you can for her age.
Getting bit back is what finally stopped a kid I used to babysit. It was another kid that bit him back, hard too. Luckily parents on both sides were understanding as it was an ongoing issue until that final bite.
